Some of the Best COVID-19 Safe Activities for Your Next Vacation

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot about how we live, work and play. And while many people are braving the airlines once again to take the trips they put off in March 2020 or visit family members they haven't seen in a year, a lot of people are still hesitant to go on a vacation that resembles pre-pandemic life.

Another segment of the population has adapted to safer alternatives, taking road trips and enjoying state and national parks even though they were activities they never would have considered before.

Here are some vacation activities to consider if you're itching for something to do but want to stay as safe as possible:

Rent a boat
Something like Duffy Boat Rentals Newport Beach might be a good option for you if you have a group. Look for rentals that are outside or that you could fill with people from your own party instead of sharing with another group. There are so many different kinds of rentals to choose from. Cities with rivers have urban kayak rentals where you can enjoy the views of a city without walking on a crowded sidewalk. From small lakes to the Great Lakes, check for canoe rentals or paddle boats. You're sure to find a boat rental that fits your needs.

Go to the zoo
The U.S. has tons of zoos to explore, and they offer acres of land to walk around outside and keep your distance from others while seeing animals and exhibits. Another great activity for kids, bring a whole group and enjoy this outdoor activity safely.

Go golfing
Or mini-golfing! Whether it's something you haven't done since you were on vacation with your parents in the 90s, or you're a regular on the green, plan your destination around golf courses. Driving ranges and mini-golf are also great activities to stay outside and have fun. Depending on where you're headed, some golfing opportunities are near other great outdoor activities too, like Frisbee golfing or yard games or pools.

Check for outdoor landmarks
Good trips can revolve around seeing one spectacular attraction — and the U.S. has many. From national parks to Mount Rushmore, the country has plenty of outdoor attractions to take in. Now might be the time to drive a little farther to see the one landmark you've always wanted to but never did because you wanted to pack a lot into a busy weekend. Load up the car and head out on the open road to see that famous waterfall or monument.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.
