Spend the Holidays with Some Cats

Hey All!!

Where are my cat lovers!! Even if you just like cats, you might find this event fun to watch.

Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Camp, the acclaimed event for cat lovers of all stripes, reinvented itself as a virtual event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with tremendous results of over 100k people tuning in to celebrate their love of cats and the cat community. Following up on this success, the next celebration will focus on celebrating a life well-lived, with programming from leading experts guiding viewers through every stage of a cat’s life. The event will bring holiday cheer packed with lively discussions, festive crafts, jolly giveaways, and even an after party with games and fireside chats! The holidays may look a bit different this year for many, but Cat Camp has embraced the opportunity to connect with animal lovers around the world by celebrating together as a community through education, entertainment and empowerment, at no cost to attendees.

With a lifesaving investment by Petco Foundation, a national, nonprofit animal welfare organization working to inspire and lead change for animals across the country, Cat Camp @Home for the Holidays will feature interactive content, both entertaining and educational, that includes making holiday themed cat toys and an outdoor winter shelter for community cats, a cat-themed ugly sweater contest and a fireside chat by a yule log.

Hosted by co-founders Jackson Galaxy, renowned cat behavior and wellness expert and host of Animal Planet’s “My Cat From Hell,” and Christina Ha, co-owner of NYC’s first Cat Café, Meow Parlour, and president of its affiliated non-profit adoption group, Meow Parlour Cats, the Cat Camp @Home for the Holidays speakers will focus on the celebration of life and the various stages of all cats. Hannah Shaw (aka Kitten Lady) will begin the event with an in-depth discussion about kittens, then Galaxy himself and Dr. Kris Chandroo will discuss adult felines followed by a panel discussion, then Galaxy will be joined by Licensed Veterinary Technician Ellen Carozza to discuss senior health and enrichment, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Dani McVety will conclude with a focus on a life well-lived and celebrating the beloved family members who will be remembered forever.

Cat Camp @Home for the Holidays will livestream at CatCamp.com on December 5 at 1pm EST. Visit the website for additional information and to register for the event.

Make sure you register and mark the dates on your calendars, so you won't miss this catastic event!!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere.
