Travel Ready

Hey neighbors!!

I had a whole list of travel posts I was going to do, and then we went on "Stay at Home" orders.  Well, not that some of that is letting up, I would like to share some of my favorite travel gear!!  I have a secret to share, I LOVE Vera Bradley!!  I own several pieces and I love their versatility and style.

For long trips, they have  rolling luggage.  They have both Hard Side Rolling Luggage and Soft Side Rolling Luggage.  I prefer the hard side for longer trips, but I am totally satisfied with one of their soft side rolling luggage when we head out on a shorter trip.  I use one of their rolling bags for photography trips.  It holds my knee pads, large lens, a towel, extra batteries as well as other small items.  I just grab and go!!  The Grand Weekender travel bag is my go to on 1-2 day trips.  This smaller and easier to just toss in the back of the vehicle and head out.

Another handy item on trips is one of their backpacks that has a pocket for your laptop.  I use this one  when we are staying overnight, as it holds my laptop, I-pad, a couple books to read and often times my meds.  I use one of their regular laptop bags for short day trips.

One of their large cosmetic bags is what I use to hold my shower items.  When on trips I usually just pack travel size shampoo, conditioner and body wash,  toothbrush, etc.

What I love most about Vera Bradley, is the quality of the product.  I have owned many of mine for over 5 years and they are still in really good condition.  Something else I enjoy is you can color coordinate everything.  You can go with one design or find one that contrasts nicely.

If you are considering a trip soon, be sure to visit the Vera Bradley website and see what they have to fit your needs!!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going.
