Looking for some games to give as gifts? Check out USAopoly!! They have games for all ages!! We have Codenames Disney Family Edition, Match-O-Rama, and Telestrations. Each of these are great family games. We have played Telestrations before and have really enjoyed the game.
Codenames Disney is designed for ages 8 and up. 2 - 8+ people can play at a time. Play time is approximately 15 minutes. The Disney Family Edition of Codenames combines the hit social word game with some of Disney’s most beloved properties from the past 90 years. Two Cluemasters give one-word clues to help their teammates identify the Disney characters, locations and items from a 25 card game grid. Including both pictures and words, it’s family fun for Disney fans of all ages.
Match-O-Rama can be played by 4-8 players, ages 8+. In this fun family game, you have to guess what the other players will say. Game play is about 20 minutes. We love games like this!! here is a sample from one of the cards:
A. Something you see in a pirate movie
B. Something you look forward to in the morning
C. Something people complain about other than their job
Telestrations is basically like playing the telephone game. This game is serious fun!! The first player is given a word to sketch, they pass it to the next person who guesses what they drew and they write it down. The next player then draws what the second player wrote down. This goes on until the last player writes down what they see drawn. Then you share the results. We have had some really strange results after it has gone through several people.
USAopoly is a good place to shop for family games. We used to have a game night every Friday night. Now that everyone is older and several of the children are out of the house we do not do it once a week, but we still love to have random game nights when several of us can get together. Games make great gifts, because they draw people together and usually a lot of fun ensues. So grab a stack of games to add to your holiday gifts.
