In a Pikle to the Rescue!

Hi neighbors!!

I just want to say that In a Pikle has one of the handiest, most convenient little organizers ever!!  We took ours on our trip to Pigeon Forge and I carried it with me.  Amazingly enough, I did not need to pull it out, except for a broken nail.  Don't ask me how that happened, because with 5 of us on the trip, normally we have several little mishaps occur, that put one of us in a pickle, that we need help out of.  I mean, how many times have you gone somewhere and needed a safety pin or needle and thread?  Or perhaps someone skinned a knee or has a small cut that needs first aid.  Not one time this trip.

Now that we are back home I am keeping my In a Pikle bag handy.  Just take a look at all the storage inside and the many items you can get in their just one of the Paks they have available to fill your bag.  I love mine and the colorful designs they have for you to choose from.  They have special Paks for someone with a baby.  The Pikle comes empty with 4 double sided pouches, that you fill and attach in the Pikle bag with snaps.  You also have a wristlet handle, or a long strap to wear crossbody.  Mine is so easy to just wipe clean.

Here is what comes in the Starter Pak:

  • 1 hand sanitizer pen
  • 1 spot remover pen
  • 3 individually wrapped antibacterial wipes
  • 1 credit card size mirror and floss combo
  • 1 pair of tweezers
  • 1 pair of fingernail clippers
  • 1 emery board
  • 1 travel size sewing kit
  • 1 retractable mini scissors
  • 3 hair bands
  • 5 rubber bands
  • 5 bobby pins
  • 5 safety pins
  • 5 paper clips
  • 1 phillips head mini screw driver
  • 1 straight head mini screw driver
  • 1 mini pen
  • 1 “In A Pikle” sticky notepad
  • 5 adhesive bandages
  • 1 package travel tissues
  • 1 pill box

Not only do In a Pikle bags come in a variety of colors and designs, but there are also different sizes to choose from.  My particular is a Dill in Coral Paisley.  You really do need to visit the website to see all they have available.  They even have Piks for him!  I also love that the Pikle is reusable, it is not one of those one time and done products.  It is sturdy and well made, so when you use or run out of something, just refill your pouch!!

My In a Pikle bag will be traveling with me regularly.  I will be prepared if I am ever in a pickle!!

In a Pikle was created by two busy moms who worked together to create these unique emergency kit organizers.  Be sure to check out their website and then follow them on their social media.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back. Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
