Interview With April Cameron | Moments With Mercy

One Hallmark movie that I've been especially looking forward to is In The Key Of Love so any and all actors/actresses related to this movie were immediately on my radar.  I was able to reach out to April Cameron who plays Lindsey, the maid of honor, about an interview and she graciously agreed.  I've been so stinkin' excited to share this interview with y'all so let's get started, shall we?

Mercy: Can you share a little bit about yourself?
April: I’m an actor/writer born in Vancouver, BC. I’ve studied drama since I was a kid, and have been a professional actor for about a decade. I also teach drama to kids! Super fun, and a great job to have between gigs.

Mercy: What sparked your interest in becoming an actress?
April: I think I knew very young — what planted the seed was actually playing barbies, as a kid my barbies always had the most dramatic storylines. But when my parents took me to see Hamlet when I was 8, I think that did it. It was at Ludlow Palace in England. The actors actually performed on the castle grounds — been hooked ever since.

Mercy: Can you tell us a little bit about your character in, In The Key Of Love?

April: I play Lindsay, the Maid of Honour, and the cousin of Jake and Jennifer. Lindsay is a hopeless romantic, who just wants to see everyone have a Happily Ever After. The fact that Jake and Maggie sing together, AND are in love, blows her mind big time. It was a super fun character to play. So much smiling!

Mercy: What is one thing most people don't know about you?
April: ...I have reacurring dreams about disastrous weddings, I have no idea why. Like dreams where I’m getting left at the altar, or guests heckling the ceremony — very un-Hallmark!

Mercy: What do you like to do in your free time?
April: If I’m not writing, I take ballet class, and I like to illustrate. I also like watching highlights of The View on YouTube, I love it when they fight. It’s my political Real Housewives.

Mercy: If your life had a theme song what would it be?
April: The Theme to Golden Girls.

Mercy: Is there a fun story you can share from filming In The Key Of Love?
April: We had so much fun on set. On the very last day, we were filming on a lake, and these Canada Geese kept walking into the shot. Crew members were tentatively trying to shoo them away — Canada Geese can be randomly vicious, so it took bravery to politely shoo them out of the frame. But they kept stealing the show, and it made me giggle. I would have kept them in the scene! But I get it, they’re unreliable and can’t hit marks.

Mercy: Any upcoming projects?
April: Just wrapped an episode of The Magicians!

If you don't already please be sure to give April a follow on her social media through the links below. She's an actress you'll definitely want to keep track of!
Lastly, be sure to keep an eye out for In The Key Of Love streaming in August on Hallmark Movies Now (no specific date set as of yet.)

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
