Photo Gifts For The Win! #Collage #PhotoGifts

I don't know about you, but some of my favorite gifts to give and receive are photo gifts. Whether it's a framed print, a canvas, photo book, a t-shirt with a picture printed on it, or, just maybe, a photo blanket, I love them all! There's something special about a gift that literally has memories printed on it.

I recently received the opportunity to create a photo blanket on Collage.com and it was such a fun process going through iPhoto and choosing what pictures to include on the blanket. Collage offers multiple blanket options, and for the 50x60 fleece blanket, they recommend anywhere from 1 to 80 pictures...that's a lot of memories and fun going into one gift! I believe I ended up with around 60 pictures on my project. You can personalize so much more than just the pictures; add a background color or texture, text, or even arrange the photos into one of a variety of shapes. Maybe you're creating a photo blanket for a newlywed couple's first Christmas? The heart shape would be perfect to add pictures from their wedding and make a very memorable keepsake! The options and possibilities are literally endless on Collage.com.

Once I placed my order, I was very anxious to see how the finished project turned out. The printing and shipping process took less that two weeks, so it wasn't long at all before I was able to see the result. The blanket itself is a very cozy fleece that is just perfect for cool weather. The pictures turned out so nicely, and I love being able to look back at my favorite memories from this past year on one enormous "photo album"! The blanket can be used solely for display purposes if desired, draped at the foot of a bed or the back of a rocking chair. I like to display mine at the foot of my bed, but also use it for movie nights in the living room. Many people, myself included, love to snuggle up with a blanket while reading a book or watching a movie, so this really is both a useful and beautiful gift idea.

Collage.com offers many gift ideas, from photo blankets and books to photo mugs, phone cases, and even Christmas tree ornaments. Whoever you'r shopping for, I'm pretty sure you can find the perfect photo gift at Collage! Head on over and take a look - you can thank me later! ;)

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
