What guy wouldn't love a new knife for Christmas? Whether it's a businessman who needs a discreet and elegant blade to slide into his suit pocket, an outdoorsman who needs a new survival knife, someone in the military or law enforcement who would love a tactical knife, or just a guy who carries a pocketknife everywhere he goes, you can find whatever blade you need from SOG Knives!
I received two products from SOG recently; the Fling Throwing Knives Set and the Instinct Mini knife. The Fling set includes three throwing knives and a nylon sheath for carrying. These are perfect for anybody who wants to get into throwing knives, whether for sport/competition, or just fun at your next backyard get-together. Unfortunately, with the snow and cold weather we've had up here, I haven't been able to use these a whole lot yet. From the little I have used them though, I love both the look and the feel of them. They're slightly on the smaller side compared to my other set of SOG throwing knives, but still a good length/size/weight to really fly.
The Instinct Mini Satin Knife has become my go-to for everyday carry, even though it's more of an outdoor or even tactical knife. One of the reasons I love it so much is the sheath (included) has a belt clip, so I can wear it on my waistband, in my boot, or even around my neck thanks to the included lanyard. Yes, the knife is very secure in the sheath; I have worn it all different ways and it has never come out accidentally-very important detail! I love the size of the Instinct Mini as well. It's less than five inches long, and weighs less than two ounces so you can literally clip it on your waistband or slide it into your boot and forget it's even there until you need it. I was slightly concerned the knife would be awkward due to the shorter blade/longer handle length but it isn't at all. It doesn't slide or tip or get caught on anything like I had been worried about, and is easily concealed wherever you'd like to wear it.
So whether you're protecting others or leading an epic hunting expedition, tackling one of life's everyday challenges or facing your most extreme conditions yet, lead the way with SOG."
