9 Helpful Tips for Your Email Marketing

Hey neighbors!! I am not sure how many of you have your own websites or blogs, but here is some information regarding emails that contains some really good points.  I personally want to try to revamp my email strategies for At the Fence in 2019, but I won't begin working on that until after the first of the year.  (We are going to take a short break.)  I have not changed my email since I started At the Fence over 10 years ago.  I think it is time to totally change the way our emails have been done.  I don't want to overload your inboxes with unnecessary clutter.  I know I signed up for some emails years ago, that I do not even read anymore and some I have unsubscribed from.  If you have some ideas for our emails, leave a comment below and give me some feedback.  Tell me what company you use to send out your emails. How often do you send out emails?  I am looking for any information that will help us start off the New Year right. While many brands treat email market

Christmas Gifts For Guys! #SOGKnives #ChristmasGifts

Anybody still searching frantically for that perfect gift for one more person on their list? Usually I would be, but somehow I managed to complete all my shopping early this year, so I'm avoiding the last minute rush in stores, or even the browsing site after site to check off that last needed gift. (Insert pat on the back, as I'm very proud of myself!) If you are still searching however, maybe for a guy (they're the hardest people to shop for, in my family) here's a great idea: SOG Knives . What guy wouldn't love a new knife for Christmas? Whether it's a businessman who needs a discreet and elegant blade to slide into his suit pocket, an outdoorsman who needs a new survival knife, someone in the military or law enforcement who would love a tactical knife, or just a guy who carries a pocketknife everywhere he goes, you can find whatever blade you need from SOG Knives! I received two products from SOG recently; the Fling Throwing Knives Set and the Instinc

11" SensoRed Wok

Hey neighbors!! I am really intrigued by this new wok we received.  The SensoRed Wok from Fissler is designed so that you know when the pan is at the right temperature for adding your food.  The pan is speckled inside and as it heats up, the whole inside of the pan turns the same color as the speckles.  They use a thermo-sensitive nonstick coating to ensure your food is placed in the pan at the right temperature. So, we tried out the new pan and it is wonderful.  My daughter placed it on the stove added a little oil and waited for the pan to heat up.  She then cooked up the beef strips for our Beef and Gravy with Brown Rice dinner.  You can see the difference in the pan after it started heating up.  The meal was great of course.  My conclusion is that this would make a great gift for that special cook on your holiday list!! If you are interested in this SensoRed Wok, you can find out more on their website.  Also follow them on their social media. Facebook

Sensory Goods Weighted Blanket

Hey neighbors!! Have any of you or your children used a weighted blanket?  Maybe a weighted lap cover? Weighted blankets can be used to assist with autism, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, etc.   Sensory Goods has weighted blankets as well as lap pads, animals, and neck wraps that are weighted.  They  carry a wide variety of weighted blankets, floor products, sensory swings, oral motors, and more. Weighted blankets can help those with special needs stay calm in a busy, stressful, environment.  I have heard it said that a weighted blanket feels like a huge hug.  After using one, I am not sure I would describe it as a hug, but the weight of the blanket is very calming.  I have anxiety or panic attacks and I find the blanket brings a calm feeling.  I have actually used pillows before in a hotel.  I asked for extra pillows and covered myself within.  They are obviously not as heavy, but sort of created the same effect.  I have a weighted blanket from Sensory Goods that is about the

Wyze Cam

Hey neighbors!! Here's a great gift idea that could also work as a stocking stuffer!!   Wyze Cam ($19.99) allows you to monitor outside your home, another room of your home, or even your baby's room.  Use this as a security camera, or just to allow yourself the ability to watch a certain room in your home. When you receive Wyze Cam you will need to download the app and set up Wyze Cam with your phone.  This will allow you to monitor in real time, see and talk to your children and/or pets, as well as receive notifications as needed.  Wyze Cam has night vision and two way radio.  This allows you to set Wyze Cam up in a window to view outside your home like your driveway or front door.  Your Wyze Cam v.2 will work with Alexa.  Mine is only the original Wyze Cam. Wyze Cam is extremely flexible and because of this can be used in almost any situation.  It also comes with a adhesive metal plate, so you can mount it just about anywhere without screws.  There is a micro

Researching Educational Opportunities for Your Children When you want your children to have the best opportunities in life, you may see the advantage of enrolling them in preschool as early as possible. Once they are potty trained, you might want to put them in a daycare or preschool that will teach them important lessons that will put them academically ahead of their peers. If you are not sure of what preschools to consider for your children, you might want to do some research about the available programs in your area. You can get the address, contact information, and current curriculum details about the Montessori preschool of your choosing online today.  Discovering What Kids Learn The primary basis of your decision as a parent will depend largely on what kids learn in the preschool. Will they learn valuable academic lessons like reading and writing during their time there? Will your children simply be playing and learning how to get along with their peers? Based on the a

Giving Back to Your Community

Hey Neighbors!! Around this time of year, many people start to think about giving to others.  And not just to family and friends, but we start to think of ways to give to other members in the community.  Many times people we don't even know, but want to help in some way.  Sometimes it is just a one time gift or donation to a local business helping others, like the Salvation Army or a local food bank.  Maybe you make a donation to Toys for Tots or some other group helping with giving presents or clothing to families in need.  Usually we want to help people in our local community, although some of these groups obviously work nation or world-wide. Each of these groups started with someone wanting to help others.  Perhaps you have an idea that would help others in your community.  Many times this is how a philanthropic organization gets started.  Someone comes up with an idea, starts out on a small scale and as others gain interest the organization grows.  Our family has done a

Flybar Pogo Pals, Scooters and iPogo Jr.

Hey neighbors!! Flybar has some of the coolest sporting goods for kids.  Flybar has been around since 1918 as the Original Pogo Stick Company.  They are the world's largest pogo stick manufacturer.  They have since become an all-around sporting goods company.  They have pogo sticks, scooters, skateboards, stilts, trampolines and much more. We had a friend try out the Pogo Pals for us.  We received the Flybar My First Pogo Pals Jumper Fox ($21.99).  She was so intrigued by the Pogo Pals Pogo.  She jumped right on and began bouncing around.  The foam base actually squeaks as your child is bouncing.  Watch the little video clip below. Next, we have the Flybar Aero 2-Wheel Kick Scooter ($59.99).  Ours is orange, it is also available in pink and blue.  The scooter has a Custom Grip Tape deck, that ensures stability and prevents your foot from slipping.  It is very easy to adjust the height of the handlebars.  The grips are comfortable for holding on to.  The scooter w

Fanture Slippers for the Holidays

Hey neighbors! Slippers always make a good holiday gift.  And Fanture has many to choose from.  Just take a look below at a few of the different types you can find. Here we have: Fanture Women's Cozy Memory Foam Thong House Indoor Slippers .  The memory foam makes them very comfortable to wear.  I personally do not care for any type of thong slipper or shoe, but one of my daughters loves them.  I just don't like something between my toes.  Anyway, even the material the rest of the slipper is made from is comfortable. And they come in several different colors. Here we have - CIOR FNATINY Women’s Splitz Applique Soft House Slipper  .  These slippers are to be worn inside only as they have a cloth type bottom.  These also have a memory foam inside as well as a soft, furry lining.  These are very comfortable and have the owl and moon appliqued on them.  There are other choices on their page. Table Top Shuffleboard by Front Porch Classics

Hey neighbors! Front Porch Classics has come  up with another winner with the new Table Top Shuffleboard game!   Front Porch already has numerous games available including Indoor Cornhole and Skittle Pool, so Table Top Shuffleboard fits right in!  They have some great gift ideas! First of all I have to state that I am impressed by quality of the game.  The game board is wooden and comes in two pieces that use magnets to connect. There are 8 small feet to attach to the bottom of the game, that allows you to adjust the height slightly.  When connected together the shuffleboard is 5 ft. long.  As the name reveals, the game is designed to be played on a table-top.  The plastic pucks have metal balls inside that roll smoothly along the board.  Two metal pins are included for keeping score along the side of the board. That being said, Table Top Shuffleboard is ready to provide a great time of family fun and can be played by two or four players.  The object of the
