These dolls are basically the neck up and then you have the arms from about the elbow to the fingertips set on a platform. The arms move slightly. The hair on the head can be removed and replaced with the hairpieces included, or you can purchase extra hair swatches to use. When you remove the doll's hair, you will see the special system for attaching other hair pieces. The dolls come in different ethnicities as well as the hair pieces come in a variety of styles and colors. And of course you can always add clips and barrettes. Each doll comes with a comb.

Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age. And it works! Their children could sign before they could talk.
