SOG Multi-Tool For Everyday Use #HolidayGiftGuide #GiftGuide2017

Anybody here familiar with the SOG brand? You have most likely heard of their excellent knives, which range from everyday carry pocketknives to throwing knives, hunting knives, and more. I have a coupe sets of their throwing knives, and they are some of my favorites to practice with. I recently learned about another line of products they offer, the Baton Multi-Tools. Even if you don't generally carry a knife, this handy line of tools will be of interest to anyone. I received the Q2, but there are several others in this line tailored to different needs.

The Baton Q2 is slightly larger than a ballpoint pen, but in reality is an LED flashlight, flat screwdriver, bottle opener, and a small blade. This is definitely a tool ladies and guys alike will want to have within reach! The flashlight has already come in handy on numerous occasions and the blade is perfect for opening a package, or any number of other everyday needs. I love the ease of having this multi-tool in my purse. It's the perfect size, even for my small handbag! The Baton Q2 also features a pocket clip, so it's easy to clip onto your waistband or in your pocket for easy access. I appreciate the secure blade closure, so there's no worry about it opening in my purse, and me ending up with an injury. It's easy enough to open single-handedly, but definitely not going to open on its own! I was also a little worried about the flashlight, as I've had some multi-tools before that the flashlight ends up turning on when it gets bumped around my purse. That hasn't happened at all with the Q2 yet, and I've been carrying it in my purse for several weeks. SOG has definitely thought of every possible problem and made sure it's actually not an issue with their Baton line of multi-tools.

Very powerful beam for this little light!

Secure blade closure for ultimate safety.

If the Baton Q2 doesn't have all the tools you need (or the tools the recipient will need) make sure you check out the rest of the Baton line. The Q1 features a pen, scissors and more, the Q3 is packed with 13 tools such as flat and Philips screwdrivers, pliers, and more, and the Q4 has 10 tools including a file, can opener, blade, and hex bit driver. No matter if you're shopping for an outdoorsman or a mom who likes to be prepared for any situation that may come up in daily life, there is a multi-tool that would make the perfect gift this holiday season! Be sure to visit the SOG website to browse, shop, and find the perfect Christmas gift!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back. This way you can get used to the culture, and will know in advance whether or not the country is somewhere that you’d actually like to live. 2. Research The Country You need to do lots of research before you move abroad, especially if you haven’t visited the count
