Are You Behind The Times

There are two types of homes. There are ones that are modern, full of the latest gadgets and updated interiors. Then there are the other ones that seem outdated or old. Perhaps stuck in times past, or just never renovated. Older homes, often have a sense of character about them. Whether you have an old or a new design, there’s still a couple of hidden gems you can add to your home to give it that bit of jazz.

Convert The Spare Room

This might be an expensive update, but depending on what you do with the room, you might actually have some happy people. A home cinema is something people think they can only dream of, or is only for the wealthy, but in reality, all you have to do is save a little and it’ll be a dream come true. The picture quality, and movie experience you gain will be amazing. You’ll wow any guest that comes through your door, and the kids will be the talk of the school. Have a look at home theater installation to get some quotes and ideas of what style you’d like. There’s so much tech involved, you’ll never want to visit the cinema again, and the quality it brings will be like nothing you’ve experienced before.

The Yard

Let’s be honest, it’s easy to leave allow the yard to become a sorry state of affairs, especially as the colder months draw in. What sounds more perfect than a hot tub during a cold winter's night? It’s romantic for couples, and great fun for kids. Again, they might be a little pricey. You don’t have to get a professional wooden one that’ll dent your bank account. Often, you can purchase inflatable one’s for around $100 that’ll do the same job. They’re easier to set up, and can be packed away come the summer months to make way for a swimming pool. Inflatable pools can easily be purchased, for even cheaper than the hot tub when summer comes around.

Your Bedroom

You should be able to take pride in your bedroom. You want it to be the comfiest, most inviting room in the house. The list of upgrades you could put in there is endless. Take the bedframe for example. Throw out the old one, and get the one you have always wanted, yet been afraid to purchase. If you want to go all out, there are entertainment centers that hide the TV, then at the push of a button it opens to your view. To add to the convenience, you could purchase the Google Home gadget. This can be used anywhere in the house. When in the bedroom, you can say commands such as “Ok Google. Play…. Audio book”. It’ll be pure relaxation, and saves your tired eyes and head from having to search for anything.

Getting ahead of the times isn’t as hard as you’d imagine.  Even simpler little tips like redecorating, or changing some furniture will help propel you to more modern times.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was.
