There’s No Quick Fix For Being Healthy

A lot of people are under the common misconception that there is a quick fix for being healthy. With so many health kicks and fad diets around, as well as a lot of misleading information, it’s easy to see why this is the case. The fact is that a lot of us are under the impression that there is a quick fix for losing weight and getting in shape when actually that isn’t the case. The sad fact of the matter is that losing weight and getting to your target weight is no easy task. To get your body into tip-top shape, it takes time and a whole lot of effort.

Of course, there are a lot of companies that offer diets and diet products that are meant to speed up weight loss, but are they effective? In the short-term sometimes they can be, but in the long-term normally they make losing weight even harder. There might be diet plans marketed as quick fixes, but the question is when it comes to losing weight and improving your health, are there any quick fixes? The answer is no; there are not.

Want to know why this is? Then read on.

Fast weight loss puts your body under strain

Fad diets may offer fast weight loss but at what cost? When you shed weight quicker than you normally would do, it puts your body under strain. That’s why doctors have warned of the dangers of yo-yo dieting because of the intense strain it puts the body under. The worst part about this is that most of the weight lost when initially starting a crash diet like the aloe vera cleanse, for instance, is that you mainly lose water weight, not actual fat.

Not eating enough calories or limiting your food groups can have an impact

There have been a lot of studies that have suggested that by not consuming enough calories or eating foods from varied food groups, it can have an impact on your health. Almost all crash diets or quick fixes limit what you can eat, which can lead to a range of side effects. For instance, the side effects of the keto diet include difficulty sleeping, lack of energy, weakness, headaches, irritability, bad breath, constipation, bloating, and digestive pain. You can’t argue that these kinds of side effects are good for your health, can you?

Exercise is vital

Being healthy isn’t just about your weight and dress size, it’s about so much more than that. Leading a healthy life is about how well looked after your body is, which links to how much exercise you do. Doing a fad diet and dropping a few pounds won’t make you healthy, not without exercising as well. To be classed as healthy, you not only need to be a healthy weight but also be physically fit, which there is no quick fix for. Building up fitness takes time, hard work, and a lot of motivation, it’s not something that you can rush.

The fact is that there is no quick fix for being healthy, which is why your best bet for improving your health is simply choosing to make a few lifestyle changes which include eating better and exercising more.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
