Decor for the Man Room

Hey neighbors!! I know with Father's Day fast approaching many people are trying to come up with a unique gift idea for dad or hubby.  Since many men now have a man cave, garage or study they call their own, I started thinking along the lines of decor or accessories for their special room.  What better way to say I love you, then by picking out that special gift for his personal space. My husband has his own study.  It is all his, and has bookshelves lining the walls.  He preaches, so many of them are of course Bible related, whether study books, history, or dictionaries and word studies. He also enjoys weapons.  That would include guns, knives and swords.  He has wanted a sword cane for quite some time.  He also has some other interests, so when considering a gift I want one that fits into one of his favorite interests. So, I was considering a sword from Swords of Northshire .  They have an impressive display of swords and knives, not to mention you can customize your ow

The Art Of Property Negotiation

Whether you are looking to buy your first home, upgrade to a bigger one, or want to downsize to something cozier, there is one thing that will put you off your perfect property. I am, of course, talking about the price that the seller wants for their house or apartment! What some folks don’t realize is that owners often overvalue their properties. They do so because they know if a buyer negotiates the price, they can do so to a price that they’re still happy to sell at. With that in mind, you should never pay the full asking price of any future home that you wish to buy! Image Source But, did you know that it’s also possible to bring down the cost of your next property purchase even further? Believe it or not, there are several simple ways that you can negotiate a better price without appearing rude or disrespectful to sellers and their agents. Here’s what you have to do: Research the local market It’s important to do what you can to have an edge on owners and re

Max 2 White House Hero

Hey neighbors! I had the opportunity to receive and view Max 2 White House Hero.  I was impressed!  First of all, I do not review or recommend many DVDs unless they are christian.  The reason being I am extremely careful of what the family views.  So, I actually went into this one wondering if I would be able to post a positive review.  Now, I can say a hearty, yes. Max 2 is the second movie about Max, a Belgian Malinois.  We have not seen the first one, so we may have to check that one out too.  I was impressed, that they made a movie, that both children and adults can enjoy, and there is no foul language, no crude talk, etc. The story centers onThe US President's son TJ and Alex the daughter of a visiting foreign leader.  While peace talks are going on TJ and Alex accompanied by Max uncover a plot to stop the peace talks.  Although the adults do not believe much of what they are saying, as the story continues it turns out that TJ and Alex are correct.  Through several &q

Hi there neighbors! Today I want to introduce a new company, one that will have you happy this summer, Colortime Crafts , Those of you with children and grandchildren are definitely going to love their wearable art! For my review, I was sent a t-shirt with the saying, "Camping Survivor". " Colortime Crafts and Markers™ Hi! We're Colortime Crafts and Markers™. Many of you know us from our days at the Cotton Warehouse on Long Island in the early 90's, where our Warehouse was a gathering spot for wearable art creativity. In addition to offering garment blanks and trimmings, our "classroom" hosted Colortime Crafts and Markers™, which we developed for birthday parties, scouts, and camps." The t-shirt is great for those who camp quite often, or maybe your children go to summer camp, or you might have one that just loves coloring. Believe me, B hasn't camped other than a cabin, and she loved coloring this shirt! As you can see, the

Making Your Garden Pet Friendly

Do you like the idea of keeping pets at home? Are you a little concerned about ensuring they stay safe in your garden? Then you’ve come to the right place. Today, I’m going to offer some tips and advice that all my readers can use. My family has kept animals ever since I can remember, and they have always made us happy. With all that in mind, take a read through this article and put the ideas into action before you bring an animal home. If you do that, you won’t have to worry about them escaping or causing any trouble. Also, try to purchase your pets from rescue centers if you have one in your hometown. Image Ensure you have a secure fence in place Before you do anything else, you need to go around your garden checking your fence. Dogs and cats can fit through the smallest gaps, and you won’t want your animal to disappear. If you notice any areas of concern, just make sure you sort them out before buying your pet. The last thing you need is for your dog to get into the

Hairstyles - Wigs and Fashion

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine. Hey neighbors!! There has been a lot of thought and talk about hairstyles and such around our home lately.  We have four daughters, age 16 and up, that still live at home.  Each one has their own thoughts on hairstyles and fashion. My youngest at 16, is the most adventurous when it comes hair styles and the colors she likes to wear.  She presently has side-swept bangs and loves to put the back up in a messy bun.  Her colors are almost always bright and colorful.  She is also interested in learning how to style hair.  Our hairdresser has suggested that she check into purchasing wigs and mannequin heads to practice on.  I know she would love styling and then of course wearing a wig. Do any of my neighbors here ever wear wigs?  At Divatress you can choose from long, silky, wigs to short curly wigs .  It used to be quite common for women to have more than one wig and change then them out occasionally for a different look.  I remem

The Typing Coach Review

Hey neighbors!! This will be my last review for the TOS Crew.  Life has just become too busy for me to stay on top of these reviews.  This review is for The Typing Coach .  We received access to The Typing Coach OnlineTyping Course .  I figured this would help my daughter increase her speed on the computer, as well as help her type with less errors.  She has a site of her own where she posts interviews of SG artists and I figured this course would be a benefit to her. This is a one year subscription course.  The cost is only $17 per person for a year.  Multiple students can use the course, so it is perfect for the homeschool family who has more than one student in the age range to learn typing.  The course is designed to run approx. 10 weeks, with one lesson a week.  Obviously, you can adapt this to fit your schedule, and your child's learning experience.  They give you the ability to go over a lesson again, as many times as needed if necessary. The course is a combine

Thin Stix Review

Hey neighbors!! Here is our most recent TOS review, the Thin Stix 6pk of Classic Colors .  These are a set of solid tempera paint stix from The Pencil Grip, Inc .  This amazing design, allows for mess free creativity.  It is basically a soft, solid paint pen that allows your child to paint with much less mess and fuss than using a jar of paint with a paint brush. The Thin Stix, Kwik Stix set I received for review is a set of six, that actually look like markers.  They do not color like markers though, they actually paint.  They have caps, like markers, and are a convenient size for children.  They are not fine point, as the idea is to paint, not write, yet they are not so wide a child could not do slightly detailed work.  They will not work for fine drawing or coloring.  As they use the Paint Stix, they simply twist the bottom to move the paint up.  This set of six, comes with black, brown, blue, green, red and yellow.  When applied to paper it almost looks like soft crayon,
