Turn Your Love For Pets Into Profit

No one wants to fall into a job they have no care or love for, which is why choosing a career that is right for you, really right for you, is so crucial. It is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make in your life. Yet, a stupendous amount of people forget this and end up leaping into jobs they don’t enjoy simply because they think they should, because they’re a grown up and that means getting a grown up job. But it doesn’t have to. You can do something you love and still make money. What we’re trying to say is, you can take your love of animals and turn it into a small-business, which sounds fantastic, right? Who wouldn’t want to turn the hobby into a living. Well, read on and you can find out how.

Step 1: Research, Research, Research
The first thing you need to do is learn. Learn as much as you can. Luckily for you, this will be easy because you already have a love for your subject, you already care about animals. So start reading books about the animals you are interested in, look at Youtube videos and watch documentaries. You can even go one step further and start visiting animal shelters. Why not volunteer at one too? Or take an evening class somewhere? Unless you want to treat animals on a medical level, you don’t need a Veterinary degree, or a PhD in Marine Biology.

So, now you’ve achieved this, what are your options. Well, below we have compiled a shortlist of ideas to inspire your small-business. Enjoy.

Pet-Sitting
This is a great place to start because a) there is a market for it and b) you don’t need any special equipment. A lot of people travel these days, whether that is for business reasons or simply because they want a holiday and, due to the stress of taking a pet abroad, most people leave their beloved pets at home. So why not capitalize on this? Offer your services as a pet-sitter; tell them you feed, walk and groom pets, and you can do it in their home if needed. Owners love knowing that their beloved pet is being looked after in their absence.

Dog-Walker
This is another great place to start. Working hours are increasing and less people can afford to stay home. So why not offer to take their dogs for a walk, or a run around the park, before returning them home to their owners. You’ll be surprised at how many people would love to have a dog-walker in the lives. And all you need is a few comfortable dog leashes. Win.

Kennel Owner
This is a bigger commitment, but also a big business. As such, there is a lot more to consider and a lot more cash required upfront in order to establish the equipment you’ll require. In addition to this, there may be special licenses you need to obtain and permissions to get. But that doesn’t mean it is not doable. So to help you achieve this dream, learn how to start your own kennel here.

Consider a few of these ideas, or come up with one of your own!  Thanks for stopping by!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back. Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
