Enviro-Logs for the Holidays #2016HolidayGiftGuide

Hey neighbors!

Starting to feel the chill of winter?  We are.  Today was cold and wet.  If you have a fireplace using Enviro-Logs is perfect for those chilly winter nights, when you just want to sit inside and enjoy the fire. Enviro-Logs are 100% recycled.  They are completely safe and can be used in fireplaces, chimineas and campfires.  These logs burn clean, and you can even safely cook over them.  We are talking toasted marshmallows and s'mores!  They are great in emergency situations too!

Enviro Logs Firelogs emit:
  • 30 percent less greenhouse gases
  • 80 percent less carbon monoxide
  • 86 percent less creosote

Enviro-Logs also have fire starters, which are great for camping, hiking, or even tailgating.  They are an easy way to start a fire.  These starters burn for approx. 20 minutes.  They come in 8 start or 24 start packages.

FireStarters:
  • Up to 20 minutes of burn time
  • Tall and consistent flames
  • Can light damp firewood
  • Leaves no mess to clean up

So, if you live up north, you can use this in your fireplace on those wintry evenings with family and friends.  Or maybe a holiday get together.  If you live in the south perhaps you can have an outdoor holiday party around a campfire!

Obviously practice safety around fire.  Monitor children when you, the adult, are using Enviro-Logs.  No matter how you decide to use Enviro-Logs this holiday season enjoy your time together with family and friends.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Are Big Dogs A Bigger Responsibility?

Image Source Dogs come in all shapes and sizes. When opting to own a bigger breed, there are clearly going to be some differences in owning a Chihuahua. However, how big are these differences? Is the responsibility far greater with a humungous hound? Or are there some bonuses to having a big bow-wow-ing beast? Diet Big dogs do require a different diet then small dogs, not just in terms of portion size but nutrients too. They often need a greater amount of protein, especially as a pup when they are growing. This higher protein food costs more, and given that you’ll be serving up higher portions, you’ll go through a lot more dog food with a big breed than you would with a small breed. There are also other factors to consider. Big dogs are often more likely to contract allergies to certain foods. This can sometimes mean buying hypoallergenic dog food , which is unsurprisingly more expensive. It’s also recommended using a raised dog bowl once a big dog reaches adulthood.
