Modesty Doesn't Mean No Style! #KosherCasual #Modest #FallFinds

Our family is a big proponent of modesty. That means we are very careful about the type and length of skirts, the fit of our tops, etc. Often we meet people who think that dressing modestly means unstylish clothes that just hang on you, unflattering baggy tops and skirts, and overall a very unappealing way to dress. This is such an untruth however, and all of us ladies enjoy proving that you can dress stylishly without sacrificing modesty. One of our favorite companies to find beautiful modest clothing is Kosher Casual, a company that's actually based in Israel. We have featured several of their items here At The Fence in the past, so when I was asked about reviewing one of their skirts made with a new fabric I was thrilled!

I received the Long Denim Skirt for Women in their new fabric. This is still denim, but the new fabric has a bit of a stretch to it (5% spandex), giving it a whole new feel and look. I actually have one of these skirts in the previous fabric, and it's been one of my favorites for a couple years now. Needless to say, the new fabric makes this skirt even better! This skirt comes in black and blue denim, and I received the black. I love the gold seam detailing, which gives it a very dressy look and an extra little pop of color. This skirt is unique in that the top part is a little more fitted, and then a little bit above the knees it turns into panels, which gives it a beautiful feminine flare.

I also like that this skirt has both front and back pockets, as well as belt loops. I generally don't use back pockets, but I do think they look nice on this skirt, especially with the gold detail. And the front pockets are just big enough to hold my phone, keys, etc. without being too big or baggy. The belt loops make it easy to add a belt for various styles, my personal favorite being the western look. I have a variety of belts that I can use to give an extra touch to different outfits, be it dressy or casual-either of which works great with this skirt. It's perfect for Wednesday evening church services, paired with a plaid shirt, western belt and boots, or dress it down a little with a casual top and loafers for running errands. No matter how you style it, this skirt looks great!

Kosher Casual has a wonderful selection of other denim skirts, maxi skirts, dresses, workout clothing, and modest tops. Be sure to check them out for all your modest - yet stylish - clothing needs!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going.
