You Have The Right To Remain Curly! #CurlyHairCare from Jessicurl #Giveaway

Do we have any curly readers out there? How many of you have ever had a hard time finding a shampoo, conditioner, or styling aid to keep your curls (or waves) looking clean, fresh, smooth and frizz-free? That last one is my hardest. I have naturally wavy-to-loose-curl hair (depending on if I trim it to halfway down my back or let it grow out longer) that frizzes extremely easily. No matter what styling creams, gels, sprays, oils, and mousse I use it's inevitable that by the end of the day my hair is frizzed and/or my waves have gotten droopy looking. That's why I was so excited to try out Jessicurl, a company that specializes solely in products for curly/wavy haired people. I received the Light and Luminous Collection, a set designed specially for people with finer curls and waves. This set includes the Gentle Lather Shampoo, Aloeba Daily Conditioner, Too Shea Extra Moisturizing Conditioner, Gelebration Spray, Confident Coils Styling Solution, and Awe Inspiraling Spray.

This set actually works as a system. Obviously the shampoo and the Aloeba conditioner are for use whenever you shower. I like to use the Too Shea extra moisturizing conditioner once a week, plus a little for a leave-in a few days a week. After washing and conditioning, and without squeezing out your hair or using a towel, spray in the Gelebration spray, then scrunch your curls upwards. After that you may use a microfiber towel to gently scrunch again, removing excess water from your hair. It's recommended to not use a standard towel, as that can cause frizz. The next step is to squeeze a small amount of Confident Coils styling solution into your hand, and distribute evenly through your hair, again making sure to scrunch to encourage the curls. You can then either air dry or blow-dry with a diffuser. I usually don't blow dry my hair as even using a diffuser it causes more frizz, but I did try it out after using this system. To my surprise it didn't add frizz like it normally does...which means now I don't have to walk around with wet hair half the day!

You're probably wondering what the last product in the set, the Awe Inspiraling spray, is for. This is for those days where mid-afternoon or evening your curls start to lose their hold, and start looking droopy. Maybe you used the system in the morning, now you're headed out for a special evening, and want to touch up your curls. This is where the Awe Inspiraling spray comes in! Simply mist into your hair, scrunch, and you're good to go. I love that this doesn't add a new layer of hold that will end up weighing your hair down, it actually refreshes the product you already have in!

As you can see, the Jessicurl products are amazing. This system all works together to give you hair that is clean and smooth, curly, and drastically reduces the amount of frizz I normally have to deal with. I honestly haven't ever used a better line of products for curly hair. This is definitely going to be on my holiday shopping list this year for all my curly-haired friends and family!

I would really like to try the Too Shea extra moisturizing conditioner as I think my hair is lacking moisture and that is causing frizz. I am yet to find the right combination for my hair.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
