Schleich's Horse Club

Hi Neighbors!

I have a really neat product to share with you today!  It is from Schleich.  Schleich is one of Germany's largest toy manufacturers.  For 80 years they have been creating and hand painting toys to spark your child's mind in imaginative play.  My children have owned many different Schleich toys over the years, so I was extremely excited to get to share a few of Schleich's Horse Club creations.

First off when we opened the box, we pulled out the Riding Arena ($34.99).  What child has not dreamed about owning a horse?  I did, and I actually was able to fulfill that dream, as did two of my older daughters.  What fun to sit down and practice riding skills in this covered arena.  Young minds will be able to put their horse through his paces, as well as practice jumps.  I also picture a few horse shows being held in the arena.  The Riding Arena comes with:
1 - Covering for the Arena
10 - Pieces of Fence (Mine had 16)
2 - Jumps
1 - Rider
1 - Horse
1 - Halter with Lead Rope
1 - Horse Blanket
1 - Saddle
1 - Bridle
1 - Bale of Hay
1 - Bunch of Carrots

Next was the Arab Mare ($12.99).  She is beautiful of course.  She comes with her pink Fly Blanket, a Halter and Lead, a bunch of Turnips and some Green Apples.  Last to be taken from the box was the little Arabian Foal ($5.99).  He can trot around behind his mother as she wanders the arena.

Arabian horses were always a favorite of ours because of their beauty, and Schleich has carried this beauty over into their horses.  It is pretty easy to identify an Arabian horse from their delicate features, to the way they prance around.  Arabians are a well-known breed that often win endurance competitions.

Schleich is releasing 18 products to add to their Horse Club collection.  There will be horses, accessories and of course, playsets.  These will be designed for children ages 5-12 and will range in price from $3.29 - $99.99.

I am just waiting for our young friend to come visit and play with M with this set.  I can already here the excited neighs filling the air.  I imagine we will have an arena set up on our living room floor, with horses wandering everywhere.  There will most likely be trail rides all over the house.

I do want to say here, that I truly appreciate the quality toys that Schleich produces.  The attention to detail, the sturdiness of the product and of course the desire they create in a child to play.  Visit the Schleich website, HERE.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back. Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
