Handy Drop Stop

Hey neighbors!

How many of you have ever dropped an item in your vehicle and had it disappear down the side of the seat?  I know we have dropped many a cell phone and had it slide down between the seat and the center console.  Then you try to maneuver your body around to try and reach it.  This of course is especially dangerous for the driver.  We have also had it slide down and end up at the driver's feet.  Not exactly where you want something sliding around.

So, along comes Drop Stop.  A neat little invention that fills the opening between your seat and your center.  One end has a slit in it, so you can slip it over the seatbelt buckle to help hold it in place.  You sort of wedge the Drop Stop between your seat and center, or between two seats.  The Drop Stop is a soft, stuffed, tube that squeezes between your seat and completely blocks anything from sliding down.  It will fit many different makes and models of vehicles.

I had it pulled up a little, so you could see it better.

Yes, it works!  I do have to remind my husband not to keep pulling it out from it's position when he is searching for something.  He has done this more than once already.  I do believe this is very handy product, and that with the Drop Stop, you will be able to quickly recover whatever you happen to drop.  Change or something extremely small could get caught between your seat and the Drop Stop, but only very tiny items would be able to do that.  Cell phones, wallets, iPods, keys etc will not fit down beside the Drop Stop.

Take a second and watch the Allstate video below and see just what Drop Stop could help prevent.

Two neighbors will each win a set of Drop Stop for themselves.  Be sure to enter the giveaway!  Thanks for stopping by!  See you soon.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.
