Make Your Friend’s Birthday Special Even When She Lives Far Away

Our friends do a lot for us, so when it comes to their birthdays, it’s natural that we want to help them to celebrate. It’s easy to make a friend’s birthday special if she lives close by, but when she lives a long distance away, it can be a little tricky.

Many of us settle for sending a card and gift voucher, but there’s so much more we can do to make the day special. You may not be able to be with her for the day itself, but with a little smart thinking, you can make your friend's birthday extra special.

For some unique ideas for making your friend’s birthday as enjoyable as possible even though you’re apart, keep reading.

Spoil Her with a Gift Box

Pick out a cute box in a design that she’ll love, pop in some tissue paper and fill it with lots of her favorite treats. Choose all the right things, and she’ll love this idea. Even if money is tight you can still do this; it’s just a case of choosing a budget, and finding gifts that allow you to stick to it.

For her box, accessories like wallets and scarves are ideal, as are some lovely cozy socks or a new pair of slippers. A stylish pair of pajamas can also be a big hit, as long as you know her size, that is. If you know the types of beauty products she likes, a skin care set or mini facial kit could be perfect, as could some of her favorite nail polishes. How about adding a pillow with a cute quote or a mug with an inspiring phrase printed on it? Be creative with what you get for her, and you can put together the perfect gift.

Surprise her with a custom designed card

Instead of sending her a generic card, buy a custom made one. There are so many sites that sell fantastic custom made cards, that if you shop around, you should be able to find the perfect one. Pick an old picture of the two of you or a cute picture of her dog, and turn it into a beautiful card. Be creative, the more glitter and sparkle the card has, the more she’ll love it.

If you don’t fancy ordering her a card from a special site, how about making it yourself? It may not be as professional looking, but she’ll love that you’ve made the effort. To make her card even more special, arrange to have a custom-made stamp from onlinestamp.net put on it. Everyone dreams of having their head on a postage stamp, so why not make her dreams come true?

Get birthday treats delivered

You may not be there to spoil her, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t arrange to have little treats arrive at her door. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make all the difference, such as receiving a beautiful bunch of helium balloons.  Or get in touch with a bakery that’s local to her, and arrange for them to make and deliver her favorite cake or cookies. While this may be a little pricey, to make her birthday special, cakes just say Happy Birthday! . Shop around to find a good price and a good baker, and surprise her with a birthday cake.

If you want to make your friend’s birthday special, take note of the ideas above. There’s no better present than having a dear friend remember your birthday.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back. Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
