Kiss Naturals Lip Balm Kit DIY #HGG2015

Here is a super holiday gift idea for girls ages 6 and up.  Kiss Naturals has a Make Your Own Lip Balm Kit, along with a couple other kits you will be seeing in the next couple of days.  Your child will be able to make 3 jars and 3 sticks of yummy smelling lip balm.

The lip balm was so easy to make!  Young children will need adult supervision.  The ingredients do need heated in a microwave, so please assist your children when needed.  All necessary ingredients are included in the kit.  After preparing a jar and a tube in the holding tray, we measured out the safflower oil.  After measuring the shea butter you also add this to the safflower oil.  Next measure out the needed bees wax beads.  This is where you will place the measuring cup on a microwave safe plate and place it in the microwave and heat for 1 minute.  Stir and make sure the beads have melted. If you need more melting time, microwave for another 30 seconds.  Now you can add your flavor and stir.  Then carefully fill your tube and jar.  Place caps on and refrigerate for 20 minutes.  Check and see if they have solidified and if needed allow more time in the refrigerator.

Once removed from the refrigerator you are ready to go.  Apply on your lips right away, or set one or two aside for gifts!  The lip balm goes on moist and will help moisturize lips and protect them from the cold winter air.
