FishFlix.com and Do You Believe?

FishFlix.com Review no 2

Hey neighbors!

I recently received the DVD of Do You Believe? from FishFlix.com for review purposes.  My husband had a I had a attended a preview screening many months ago, as a church leader type screening,  but the rest of the family had not yet seen it, so I was pretty excited to get a copy for review purposes.  We planned a family night when every one was home to watch it.  Thank you FishFlix.com.

FishFlix.com Review no 2

The storyline of Do You Believe? allows you to see the connections between the lives of several different people and the effect they have on each other without any of them realizing it.  It sort of gives a God's eye view rather than the human eye view of how many lives you affect without even being aware of it.  It shows the importance of how we respond to each person we meet.  I really enjoyed watching it a second time and catching some of the things I missed the first time. The only thing I personally had a problem with was the idea that everyone became a Christian except one.  This did not ruin the film though, it was just something my husband and I picked up on.

The whole family enjoyed the film and decided it was a keeper.  Do You Believe? is done by the same people who did God's Not Dead, which we also enjoyed. We also liked seeing Christians who had a choice to stand or fold and the struggles they went through deciding to do the right thing.  Definitely worth seeing!  You might even cry during a couple of scenes, I did.

FishFlix.com is a great place to shop for your Christian DVD needs.  Remember them for gifts over the holidays!  We previously reviewed another DVD from Fisfflix.com previously.  Fish Flix carries so many different christian DVDs.  They have fictional stories like Do You Believe? as well as documentaries, and educational films.  Homeschoolers can take advantage of their creation science DVDs as well.  They have free shipping on orders over $35.From perusing their website they seem to carry just about everything available.  Oh, and they have a $5 sale going on right now.  I am not sure how long it will last, so be sure to click over and see what they have available.  What a great gift idea!

Be sure to take a moment to read the other TOS members reviews as we had the option of several DVDs, like: Faith of Our Fathers, Little Boy, When Calls the Heart-Heart of the Family and Living Waters: Intelligent Design in the Oceans of the Earth.  If you are interested in one of these movies you will be able to see several reviews and get a feel for the movie before purchasing.  Just click on the link below.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back. Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
