Zellie's - For Healthy Teeth!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry this is late.  The first day I was going to post the internet went down because of storms, and the second day I was going to post I had it almost completely ready to post, and it wouldn't upload my pictures, and wouldn't go back to my post, so I lost my whole post!  Not very fun trying to re-write a post!

I have to tell you that both my mom and myself both love chewing gum, but we don't buy it very often just because we go through it so fast!  I try and ration mine out, but my mom can go through a pack in one sitting.  I know that gum is supposed to be "good" for you, but probably not to that extent!  Today, I want to tell you about...

Zellie's

Yep, you read that right... for HEALTHY teeth!  We were really excited about the chance to try Zellie's, and the whole family gathered 'round when the box arrived.

Before we get started I want to take a minute to tell you about Zellie's "Promise of Pure Goodness"!  "Zellie’s has always been committed to offering the purest xylitol-based gums, mints and candies available anywhere. Our supply chain is closely managed every step of the way and we are proud to produce our products here in the United States. In 2014, we took our commitment one step further by eliminating titanium dioxide, an ingredient no longer necessary in our production process. And as we always have done and unlike most other gums available, we produce our products without adding glycerin."

Wow!  I LOVE the fact they they don't have a gazillion and one ingredients in their products.  There are way too many things out there that have too many ingredients, while Zellie's sticks to only a few.  I really appreciate that!  One of my other favorite things about Zellie's is the many health benefits of xylitol.  It is a healthier for you than sugar/other sweeteners (I learned that is has about 40% less calories on their website!), and it will HELP (yes, I said help!) strengthen teeth, prevent tooth decay, and heal cavities early on.

Did you know that "Studies show 6 to 10 grams of xylitol daily, in frequent small doses, helps prevent damage from dental plaque, dry mouth and acidity."

It's great that just by having a couple pieces of gum or mints a day, you can get in your recommended servings of xylitol.  I received... 2 Zellie's 100ct. Gum Jars (1 Peppermint, 1 Cinnamon), 1 Zellie's 18ct. Blister Pack Gum (Peppermint), 1 Zellie's 250ct. Mint Jar (Cool Fruit), 2 Zellie's 65ct. Mints Tins (Spearmint and Peppermint), and 2 Zellie's 70ct. Polar Bear Jars (1 Cherry, and 1 Tropical fruit.  Sounds great, huh?!?

Although they were all tasty of favorites were the Peppermint flavored Gum (and mints), the Cool Fruit Mints (we think they taste like those Smarties candies!), and the Cherry flavored Polar Bears.  We have a little friend visiting us right now that was really surprised at how good everything tasted!  My mom took possession of the peppermint mints, and I literally had to HIDE my gum at my desk so that she didn't take it.  I'd keep changing hiding spots, and she'd keep finding it so I'd hide it somewhere else.  Really interesting!  She really like the kick that the Cinnamon gum had.  Very flavorful!  I am very happy that the family can enjoy great tasting gum/mints/etc. and do it without a guilty conscience.

So, these are definitely worth purchasing for the taste and the benefits.  You can head on over to the Zellie's website to purchase your own appetizing goodness right now!  You can also Like them on Facebook and Follow them on Twitter

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
