WorkIt Wednesday : Fé Fit -- My 90-day Fitness Experience!

I just wanted to take a few minutes this afternoon to tell you about a new fitness program I am just starting.  It's called Fé Fit, and I am REALLY excited about starting this!

As I said above, I received the FÉ FIT 90 DAY EXPERIENCE KIT.  I received it right before we left for a mini-vacation, so I waited to start it until we were back.  This kit includes The DVD's (in a nice little case that conveniently carries them all), a booklet about what you will be doing, and some flexible workout calendars for your convenience along with some FÉ FIT stickers to track your progress with!


Okay, this previous Monday my younger sister and I started it, but then my older sister decided that she wanted to do it as well!  So, three of us in the family are now doing the fitness experience.  Now, I have to tell you ahead of time, that we are pretty picky about our workout schedule/etc.... there have been too many that are all alike, or really don't make you feel like you got a workout in, or hour long workouts, etc.  We just don't have time for that.  Thankfully, these DVD's seem to have a nice variety of moves that you don't find on every other DVD out there. You definitely feel like you got a workout, and none of the workouts are over thirty minutes!



Day 1 was Total Body Toning, and boy could I feel it afterwards (some areas more than others, but I could definitely feel it!).  Day 2 was Core day, and again, you could feel it during and after the workout (In fact, I am still sore today).  Day 3, was Run/Walk, so my sister and I went running this morning and did intervals for about two and a half miles.


I would say that this isn't necessarily a "beginner's" workout program.  Although I am still (obviously!) working on my own health and fitness, I am a pretty active person... we do racquetball at least twice a week, TaeKwonDo three times a week, running, various workout DVD's, along with doing volleyball and/or kickball usually at least once a week.  I said all of that to say, that while I could do almost all of it okay, there were a couple of sets that I modified a little bit.  There were also a couple of the sets that not everybody might not be flexible enough for (although, you can modify them to meet your needs).  If you're not a very active person, you will probably need to follow the modified versions to get started. So far I am loving this fitness experience!  I love that there are "different" exercises, exercises focusing on different areas, and that there are different workouts each week.  Even if you're focusing on one target area, you do a new workout-- it's not one disc that has one workout for each target/goal each target has a new workout for each week.

So, Monday morning I took my measurements and a before picture.  On days 30, 60, 90, and possibly other times I will do updates with photos and how many inches/pounds I have lost.  I am also sticking to a low carb diet, so I am really looking forward to seeing the results.  If you're interested in joining me, check out the Fé Fit website!  And I have some even better news... Are Big Dogs A Bigger Responsibility?

Image Source Dogs come in all shapes and sizes. When opting to own a bigger breed, there are clearly going to be some differences in owning a Chihuahua. However, how big are these differences? Is the responsibility far greater with a humungous hound? Or are there some bonuses to having a big bow-wow-ing beast? Diet Big dogs do require a different diet then small dogs, not just in terms of portion size but nutrients too. They often need a greater amount of protein, especially as a pup when they are growing. This higher protein food costs more, and given that you’ll be serving up higher portions, you’ll go through a lot more dog food with a big breed than you would with a small breed. There are also other factors to consider. Big dogs are often more likely to contract allergies to certain foods. This can sometimes mean buying hypoallergenic dog food , which is unsurprisingly more expensive. It’s also recommended using a raised dog bowl once a big dog reaches adulthood.
