Collage Photo Blanket Review and #Giveaway!!

I think most people would agree, photo gifts are the best kind of gifts. What's even better than a photo gift? How about a gift with a collage of photos on it?! I recently found Collage.com, a company that allows you to make photo collages online, and turn them into gifts or products for yourself. I was able to design a fleece photo blanket, and it is...well, I'm getting ahead of myself-I'll start with the design process first!

Obviously the first step in designing your blanket is uploading some pictures. This can be just a couple pictures, or-if you're wanting to go all out with your collage-20 or more photos! I scoured my computer for some of our family's favorite pictures from the past year, and eventually weeded it down to about 35 photos. You can make the designing process as easy and automatic as you like, or you can drag and drop photos to the area you want them. I did a combination of both; let the site automatically add my photos, then arranged them and sized them to my liking. (Yes, you can make each picture the size you want!). You can also customize the blanket even more by adding text, choosing a background (choose from a variety of solid colors, textures, holiday-theme and more), a filter, border, and even a shape to be formed with your pictures;. These are as simple as a heart, butterfly or teddy bear, and as unique as a sports figure, state, animal, or even a word!

After placing my order it wasn't long before I received a shipment notice, and soon after that, the blanket arrived. Let me just say, I was expecting a blanket to maybe take away from the clear, crisp quality of the pictures. Honestly, you'd think that putting 35 photos on a fleece blanket would mean a lack of brightness, maybe even a little blurriness, right? Not so! The pictures look AMAZING! I can't get over how detailed, bright and clear each picture is! The blanket itself is very comfy, soft, and perfect for cuddling up with a good book or a family movie in the evening. I love how many memories this blanket holds; pictures from our trip to Pigeon Forge last year, our  2nd TaeKwonDo tournament, trips to the Creation Museum and MOSI, family photo shoots, and the 5K we ran in last year. Every so often I just stop and look at each picture, and it brings back some wonderful memories from 2014! (Now there's a great idea-make a photo collage blanket at the end of each year with our family's favorite memories!).

My pictures just don't do justice to clear the photos actually came out!
Collage.com offers more than photo blankets too; you can order canvas prints, calendars, pillows, towels, shower curtains, tote bags, device cases, and much more! I will definitely be keeping Collage.com in mind for my holiday shopping this year! There are so many neat things. One that really stands out are the aluminum prints. I have never seen anything like this. We lost a son to cancer a few years ago and I'd love to have a blanket made like the one you showed with some of his pictures.

I like the photo beach towels. If my kids could design their own towels maybe they would not manage to leave them behind when we go to the lake.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
