WorkIt Wednesday : Core Power Review + Giveaway!

Hey Everyone!

How are y'all doing today?  We are doing great!  Sorry I have missed a couple WorkIt Wednesdays, but we are still in the process of moving furniture and such around in the house.  Today, I want to introduce a AWESOME product for those of you that are aware of the need for protein.  Obviously protein is necessary for everyone, but especially for those that are more active.  So...... Introducing....

Core Power

I received three different flavors of Core Power to review... Chocolate, Banana, and Strawberry Banana 20g.  I am really trying to work on my health and fitness.  I started towards the end of last year, and I am seeing major progress.  I am trying to have at least one bigger work out each day, along with my TaeKwonDo.  I have tried multiple post workout shakes, drinks, etc., but with the exception of one or two, most pretty dis-tasteful!  They are either way to powdery, taste disgusting, etc.  Are you still not sure about the answer to the whole "What's best to have after a workout?".  I'm not!  My answer is now Core Power!

Here is just a little bit of information about Core Power... "A delicious post workout recovery drink for your active lifestyle, Core Power is a real milk protein drink made from fresh, lowfat, lactose-free milk and real honey. Its balanced protein to carb ratio and nutrient-rich profile make for the perfect end of every workout. From endurance sports and bodybuilding to running, yoga and cross-fit, Core Power helps you recover faster, build lean muscle and stay at the top of your game. No matter which game you happen to play."

Out of the three flavors I received, the Strawberry Banana 20g was my favorite!  I was pleasantly surprised, because usually I like anything that is chocolate flavored, and I really don't care for strawberries.  However, the Strawberry Banana 20g is very tasty.  As my sisters so aptly put it, "It tastes like Strawberry Milk!!".  Although the Strawberry Banana 20g is my favorite, the others also taste great.  The regular flavors contain 26 grams of protein (that's over half of your recommended daily intake!), and the light flavors contain 20 grams (half of your recommended daily).  The regular have 240 calories, while the light have 150 calories, so if you are also trying to watch your calories, go purchase some of the light.  They taste great, I promise!

I have had to keep an eye out, because several members in my family like to "help me review" these protein drinks.  Back off... these are all mine!  :D  So, if you are looking at how to get your extra protein, or searching for a post workout snack/refreshment, check them out!  You can purchase any of their various flavors on Core Power website.  You can also Like them on Facebook and Follow them on Twitter to stay up to date with their latest news.

Core Power is Giving away 2 Cases of Core Power!

I received no monetary compensation for this review.  I did receive product for review purposes only.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.  All text in red is taken from the sponsor's website.

I laughed when you said other family members like to "help me review". That's exactly what would happen in my family too :) Your favorite one, the Strawberry Banana, sounds like it would be my favorite too!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
