WorkIt Wednesday : Bolder Band Review + Giveaway!

Hello Neighbors!

Bolder Bandâ„¢ Headbands

I know we are getting a lot of posting done today, but I am starting to get behind and don't want to get too far behind!  :)  One last product I want to tell you about today is Bolder Band!

Bolder Band sent me two headbands - one for review, and one for giveaway.  We chose to keep the Tiki Me, and as I said, we will be giving away the second - Peace Out.  Any female that runs or participates in any kind of physical activity knows that having a headband that will stay in place is a must.  And guess what, Bolder Band will do just that!

Here is a little bit about Amy, the founder of Bolder Band, and how they got started...
"Hi! I'm Amy Crouse, founder and creator of Bolder Band™. Thank you for checking us out! I am a Colorado native and a cross fitting/running mom of three amazing kids and wife to an awesome man who is also my business partner! I really enjoy working out, but could never seem to find the right thing to hold my hair back. Every name-brand elastic head band would pop off my head in the middle of my workouts. I got fed up with the interruption of fixing my headband every few burpees and decided there had to be a better alternative. So, I took matters into my own hands and began to sew my own. I dusted off my sewing machine and made a few bands to give to my running partners and workout buddies who liked them as much as I did! Thus began the creation of Bolder Band™. In one year, we have been able to spread our message all over the US and beyond to encourage women (and men) to be part of our Band of Bold, Beautiful People! Our bands are made right here in our small Colorado hometown by an incredible team of dedicated professionals committed to producing the highest quality product possible. We have set ourselves apart by making headbands sized according to your head. We believe that's critical to the efficacy of the band, since not all heads are the same size. We also guarantee that our headbands (when worn correctly) will stay put, so you don't have to. We have an amazing team of passionate individuals working behind the scenes. They are committed to getting the orders out quickly and accurately, as well as giving exceptional customer service. We hope you will join us on our quest to empower all people to be active and to be the most bold, beautiful version of themselves!!"

As you can see, my sister stole (she says borrowed, but I still say stole!), my headband.  She wore it every day for training, and kept talking about how nice it was, and how comfortable it felt, how it always stayed in place, etc., etc.

H. is very picky about her headbands (as am I!), but she has decided that Bolder Band Headbands are the only ones that she will wear for sports.  The few times that I was allowed to wear this headband, I was very satisfied with the way it stayed on my head and yet didn't give me a headache.  Well worth purchasing!

You can purchase either of these products (and many other styles/patterns) on the Bolder Band Website.  You can also Like them on Facebook and Follow them on Twitter to stay up to date with their latest news and products.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
