Splash Math Review

Hey neighbors!

I had the opportunity to review Splash Math an app available in the App Store and I think you just might like it!

As a homeschooler, I am always looking for apps that will educate my child while they are having fun.  Splash Math is one of those apps.  It is easy to use, yet entertaining enough to hold a child’s attention. Your child will have fun while playing Splash Math and learning more about numbers.

You will get to enter your child’s name and other information and choose the grade level your child needs help with.  They can learn anything from basic numbers and sequence to place values, number sense addition, subtraction and algebra.  Not bad for an app!  Try this one!

I was also able to try the Preschool and Kindergarten Splash Math.  This app, like the app above for older children is just as easy to use.  Your preschooler and/or kindergartener will have fun while playing and learning more about numbers.  It starts out very simple by counting and figuring out what comes next.  It slowly advances as your child's knowledge increases.

Take a moment to view the app and consider using it with your children!

What a great item for Get Out Get Active! The Polar FA20 counts your daily physical activity. First you need to set the basic information. The date, units (metric or imperial), your weight, height, birth date, and male or female. Place the FA20 on your wrist to measure your physical activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This watch monitors your activity and gives you feedback about how you are doing. Everyone should be physically active at least 30 minutes each day, and the FA20 helps you achieve this. Throughout your day you can check and see if you are having a Lazy Day (active less than 30 minutes), Easy Day (active 30 to 60 minutes), Active Day (active 60 to 75 minutes) or an Intensive Day (active more than 75 minutes). You can also record your training sessions to learn more about how your body respon
