Febreze Winter Holiday Scents!

Hi Neighbors!

I am so loving the weather here lately.  Not today in particular because it is raining, but the cooler weather is super!  We are starting to prepare for winter weather.  We are making sure the dogs have a nice warm rug in each of their dog houses for days they are outside.  Our front porch is going to be enclosed next month!  I am so excited because I will now have a room for shoes and coats! Yippee!  And of course everyone in the home is starting to want fragrance throughout the home.  In comes Febreze!

Since the last kit from Febreze ended up in our family room, my younger daughters (13 and 17), decided that they should get this one.  I don't allow candles in their room often because of fire issues, so they love having the Febreze Noticeables in their room.  Their favor is the Apple Tart.  They mix two different scents and this one is Apple and Spice.  The other two are Vanilla Latte, which is Vanilla and Sugar and then we received Frosted Pine made of Pine and Winter scents.  I love the pine, but it is one I personally can't use, since pine sets off my allergies.  Trust me though it smells wonderful!  Yes, we still tried it!  The Vanilla Latte is the mildest scent.  Still a beautiful fragrance.  So, now every time I walk through my daughters room, it smells like an apple pie.  Yummy!  What a wonderful way to scent your home for the holidays!

Our kit came in the cute box you see at the top of the post.  Not only did we get the new Febreze scents, but they included a small box of holiday ideas, from recipes to activities to decor.  We chose to make the coffee scrub and put it n small jars for gifting.  My daughters have already tried it out!  It left their skin, nice and soft. So I am going to share it here with you!  It is so easy to make!

We also made the little apple tarts.  You make them with won ton wraps!  They were delicious and talk about scent throughout the home!

Let Febreze flavor your home for the holidays!  Special scents for the season!  Use one scent for the whole home, or pick a different scent for each room.  Find Febreze on Facebook - HERE and on Twitter - HERE.

The best news for you though is that compliments of Walmart and Febreze we will be giving away a $15 Walmart gift card!  Then you can buy your own Febreze Noticeables.  You can find them at your local Walmart store.  Our local store usually has a display set up of the newest scents!

I use Febreze all the time, at the holidays I like the pine scent. We had real Christmas trees when I was growing up. But my husband and children have allergies so I can't have them now. Pine scented Febreze is the next best thing. :0)

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
