WorkIt Wednesday : TrailHeads Review + Giveaway

Hello Neighbors?

How is everyone doing this morning?  We are doing great.  Kitty is settling in fine and enjoys cuddling with everyone.  This is the first of my reviews of products that I used during training and for the race.  I want to introduce to each and every one of my lovely neighbors...

I received a wonderful Goodbye Girl Ponytail Running Cap White with White Trim.  This is such a great hat to wear while running.  I have tried wearing other hats before and they either come off of my head way too easy, make my head way too sweaty, or just plain look funny!

I love the ponytail hole in the cap.  The design of it also helps keep the cap on my head.  After I am through with my run, I sometimes have trouble taking it off without pulling my hair scrunchie out.   It doesn't bother me, it just means my cap stays on my head during the run.  I really like that the cap is made of a lightweight, moisture wicking, mesh fabric.  My head stays so much drier when I wear this compared to other hats.

Here is a little bit about how TrailHeads started... "Thanks for stopping by to learn a bit about us. Back in 2002, we said “I do” and began our married life together. In the busy year that followed, we welcomed Elle, our first child, to the world and we started this business together.  Working out of our tiny, one bedroom apartment we combined our savings with a grant from the NYS Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped in order to pull together our first collection, including our famous ponytail hats. We struggled through numerous production challenges, managed to get a handful of retailers to actually place orders and then we shipped almost everything late. But through it all we remained confident, at least most of the time, that we had some good ideas and a solid plan. Mark Charpentier, a colleague from Ed’s days working for Cannondale Corporation, joined TrailHeads to head up our sales efforts. We were on the trail and moving forward!  Along the way, we added our second daughter Maggie to our family, relocated to Kent, CT, and steadily built a small team of talented people. From our solar powered office here in the northwest hills of Litchfield County, you’ll find our team passionately working to develop the highest quality, innovative apparel and accessories for outdoor fun and adventure."

After the race!  I got third place in my age group (far right)!
Make sure you visit the TrailHeads website and look around.  While there, check out their selection of ponytail headbands, and their fall/winter line.  If you are interested in staying up to date with their latest news, remember to Like them on Facebook and Follow them on Twitter.

Crossing the finish line with my TrailHeads Goodbye Girl Running Cap!

I received no monetary compensation for this review and giveaway.  I did receive one TrailHeads Goodbye Girl Ponytail Running Cap White w/ White Trim for review purposes only.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.  All text in red is taken from the sponsor's website.

I'm enamored with the TrailHeads Goodbye Girl Ponytail Running Cap in white on white or the white on pink. What a great idea! Always hate having my hair in the way when exercising.

Polar FA20 Activity Watch Review and Giveaway

Hi Neighbors, Well, I am out of the hospital, but I am not allowed to be very active yet, so I asked my daughter to test out this new item. It is an Activity Watch. What a great item for Get Out Get Active! The Polar FA20 counts your daily physical activity. First you need to set the basic information. The date, units (metric or imperial), your weight, height, birth date, and male or female. Place the FA20 on your wrist to measure your physical activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This watch monitors your activity and gives you feedback about how you are doing. Everyone should be physically active at least 30 minutes each day, and the FA20 helps you achieve this. Throughout your day you can check and see if you are having a Lazy Day (active less than 30 minutes), Easy Day (active 30 to 60 minutes), Active Day (active 60 to 75 minutes) or an Intensive Day (active more than 75 minutes). You can also record your training sessions to learn more about how your body respon
