We are starting off our Holiday Gift Guide for 2014 with a very favorite company of mine. Keeper's of the Faith, republish old christian books. We own several of their reprints and by the pictures you can see that they are often read books! My daughters have a wish list for some of their books.
Keeper's of the Faith has been around for approximately 30 years. They actually have a club that churches and homeschoolers can participate in. It is your club your way. There are no set in stone rules you need to follow. We actually used the books for part of our homeschooling. The girl's book is Keeper's of the Faith Girls and the boy's is Contenders for the Faith. I really want to focus on their other books this time though. These books make great gift ideas! You can browse their site by age, author and other categories. One of our favorite authors is Isabella Alden who wrote under the pen name Pansy. Another favorite is A. L. O. E. This stands for a lady of England. We have read many books by both of these authors. Their biographies of missionaries, evangelists and great Christians through history are really good reading too! These books start at a few dollars and go up to about $12 depending on the size of the book.
Be sure when you visit their website to also take time to look through their Bargain Bin. They have many marked down books on a regular basis.
Another gift idea from Keeper's of the Faith is their craft kits. They have a variety of crafts for both girls and boys.
One of the things that most impressed me about Keeper's of the Faith was how they choose the books they are going to reprint. They have high standards that make me rest easy when I choose one of their books. These are books that I don't have to read before my children can read them.
