Our Poor Spring Birds

Hey neighbors!

Even though they still have more snow in the forecast for us, some of our spring birds are showing up.  I thought I would take a minute and share them with you!  I am so tired of the snow and ice.  Of course, I am not looking forward to the heat of summer, but some spring would be nice!

Enjoy the pictures!  Thanks for stopping by.  See you soon, At the Fence!

Actually those birds (titmouse, chickadee, jay) overwinter. They don't migrate.

I'm near Chicago and even with the sub-zero temperatures through January, I was seeing Robins. Luciky we have two trees that still had food for them. One is a cherry tree, that they feast on when the cherries are in season, but many cherries dry out on the branches and the birds eat them all winter. The other was supposed to be a crab apple tree, but isn't and I'm not sure what it is, but it has cherry-looking berries in the summer and many dry out on the branches, and that's where I've been seeing the Robins most of the time. I worried so much about them since they usually fly south in winter.
