Bestowed Box Preview!

Hey Neighbors!

I just received my Bestowed box!  I was so excited to have this come in.  This month is their non-GMO month.  Everything in the box is 100% GMO free.  All products in the Bestowed box are hand-picked by renowned nutritionist and author Heather Bauer.

How it works:
Get an assortment of FULL-sized healthy snacks, beverages, and more  -- delivered to your door every month. All products are selected by nutritionist and author Heather Bauer and every box is loaded with expert tips, recipes, and advice! FREE Shipping.

Do you know what a GMO is?  I didn't, but I sure was glad to find out.  A GMO is a genetically modified organism.  These are plants or animals that have been genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses or other plants and animals.  How do you know if a product is GMO free?  Look for products that have the Non-GMO Project Verified label.  You can also check the website of your favorite products.

Now, here is what I received in my Bestowed box during October during their non-GMO month.

First is Way Better Snacks Black Bean Tortilla Chips.  These were a big hit!  Unfortunately sharing a snack size bag in a family of 8 they went fast!

The Good Bean Smoky Chili and Lime are crunchy roasted chickpeas.  These did not go over as well.  Personally I think it was because they are Chili and Lime flavored.  A little too spicy.

Then there is Love Crunch, Dark Chocolate Macaroon, a premium organic granola.  Now, this there was almost a fight over.  My family LOVES granola, and this is a dark chocolate and also has shredded coconut.

Next up is Enjoy Life, Mountain Mambo, a Seed and Fruit ix, not nuts.  My husband claimed this one.  He really enjoys trail mix, so this was perfect.

Unreal Candy is up next.  We received their peanut butter cups.  No argument here, my husband also got this one.  He is our peanut butter and chocolate nut.  He purchases dark chocolate candy bars and dips them in peanut butter for a snack.

Gnu Foods Fiber Love, Cinnamon Raisin Fiber Bar is a soft baked snack.  The whole family likes fiber bars, breakfast bars and granola bars, so this one was very well received. Amazingly what they liked best was that it was soft and chewy.

Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro 70 is a plant based protein powder.  This is one product we have not had time to actually try yet.  With so many good products in the box we are working our way through.

Ultima Replenisher is a dietary supplement you mix with water.  An all day everyday health drink.  Ours was grape flavored.  I like that this is zero sugar.  Since becoming diabetic, I have removed almost all sugar from my diet, so I appreciate products like this.  With only 4 grams of carbs, I can drink this.

The last items in the box were some coupons for:
$1 off my next purchase of a Nature's Path or EnviroKidz product
A coupon code to join the FiberLove Club and get your 4th order for free
Also included was a card for a free one year subscription to Women's Health

Neighbors, you can have a new Bestowed box delivered to your front door for $19.  The October box is available through October 31st.  Bestowed is offering my neighbors here the opportunity to receive their first box at almost half off.  Is this something that interest you?  The directions for the discount are below.

*REMINDER: Neighbors can get their first Bestowed box for almost 50% off ($10, instead of $19). To get this, use the code HELLOTEN103 at checkout. This code is active through 11/20 but anyone that signs up after 10/31 will receive their November box.

As a reminder most products found in Bestowed boxes are now available at the Bestowed Online Store.

Disclosure:I received no monetary compensation for this post. I did receive product for review purposes.  All quotes in red are taken directly from the sponsor's website or email.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.

Sounds like a good deal with the 50% off right now. I like that the company hand picks everything and this is healthy snacking!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
