Renuzit Cones in Your Home!

Hey Neighbors!

I have to confess, with 6 children, a husband, and several dogs, there are times my home can use a little freshening up.  Times like, when we bring in wet dogs, or right after Tae Kwon Do or other sports activities.  Talk about odors!  So, I was really excited to get a chance to experience the new Renuzit Cones!

Renuzit sent me four of their new adjustable cones to try out.  I received After the Rain and Simply Vanilla from their Simply Refreshed Collection and Tahitian Breeze and Hawaiian Oasis from their Exotic Escapes Collection. Oh do they smell GREAT!  I also picked up a couple myself when we went shopping at Walmart.  Ninety-seven cents each!  We found Raspberry and Apple Cinnamon from the Fresh Picked Collection.  We will have to try some of the others later!

Now, I am partial to Apple Cinnamon, so that one went in my bedroom.  There is just something calming and soothing about that fragrance.  We placed the Raspberry in the younger girls' bedroom.  And the older girls chose the Tahitian Breeze for their room.

The boys of course are not that thrilled with floral, or exotic fragrances, so we put the Simply Vanilla in their bathroom.  Maybe I will pick up another one for their bedroom.  I will be sure to choose one of the fruity scents.

I chose the After the Rain to put in our dog room.  We actually have an enclosed back room for the dogs, cooled in the summer and heated in the winter.  It is perfect for allowing them to dry off before coming in the house, or if they need separated for a time.  Also great for when we have puppies!  It does have a tendency to smell like dog, so we now have a Renuzit Cone out there to help!  I might pick up another one since it is a large room.  And yes, I am keeping it out of their reach.

Here is where the Hawaiian Oasis went!  My 12 year old has a hideout under the bunk bed.  She has it set up with a chair and ottoman, small desk, her typewriter, everything she needs to make it special!  So we added the Hawaiian Oasis Renuzit Cone on her desk.

What areas in your home needs freshening up?  Perhaps you could use one in a bathroom, kitchen, or maybe  a child's room.  Wherever you need a little help, try a Renuzit Adjustable Cone.  They are easy to use.  Just remove the label, twist the top half and adjust to the desired level.  I If you only need a little fragrance keep the opening small.  If you have a big odor problem, you can open it more.  You can find the available 18 scents HERE.

Be sure to "like" the Renuzit Facebook page HERE.  Then check back during the month of September when readers will have the chance to win a scent-inspired vacation.  This will also allow you to join in the conversations and learn about special offers and promotions.

4 Neighbors will each receive two coupons good for $1 off a Renuzit Adjustable Cone.  This actually makes them free!

Disclosure:The Renuzit brand provided me with sample Renuzit Cones in exchange for a product review.  However, all the opinions expressed here are my own.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
