Stuck on You Review!

Hello Neighbors! How is everyone doing this afternoon?  Remember when I posted about Stuck on You helping with your Back to School shopping!  Well, our personalized sports bag arrived just in time for M's first TaeKwonDo Tournament!  Here is a picture of her new sports bag... Doesn't this look nice?!?  The printing came out clear and colorful!  After getting everything ready, we started to pack the bag.  First, we put her martial arts shoes in the convenient shoe pocket that is included.  Great!  No more shoe marks on her white Gi top! We used the large part for her change of clothes for after the tournament, and her sparring gear (head, hands, feet, etc.).  Everything fit nicely. There are a couple of small pockets on the front also.  We used one for her mouth guard (yes, it is in a case :), band-aids, etc.  All of them end up with blisters! For the second small pocket on the front we placed in things like a comb, a few extra hair elastics, e

Gorton's Wicked Good Seafood!

Hi neighbors! I first heard the phrase "Wicked Good", about 12 years ago when we went to Northern Maine.  Everything in Maine was "wicked good".  So, I was not surprised to hear Gorton's Seafood called "wicked good'.  My husband and a couple of the children LOVE fish.  As a matter of fact after receiving my wicked good package from Gorton's, they actually had fish sandwiches two days in a row, and were hoping for more the next day!  For some reason fall weather and fish just sort of go together. We really like the Gorton's Fish Sandwich Fillets.  They are the perfect size for buns, easy to prepare and taste GREAT.  My family decided you MUST have them on buns, because they just do not taste the same on bread!  And of course they had to add a slice of American cheese to melt over the fillet.  Of course you can't have fish without french fries.  It is amazing, what you "must" have when you eat fish! LOL!  Cole slaw is a

Chicken of The Sea To Go Cups!

Hey Neighbors! My family members all eat tuna fish.  Each os us has our own ideas of what goes with our tuna fish though.  I personally add mayonnaise, pickle and onion.  Yum!  My husband likes his with or without pickle on a grilled sandwich with melted cheese.  My youngest two daughters like theirs with mayonnaise and pickle, definitely no onion.  They will even pick it out of theirs when they use my leftovers.  So of course we were excited when we received the opportunity to try the Chicken of the Sea To Go Cups.  They came in a really nice Chicken of the Sea Sling Bag. We were sent the Chicken of the Sea To Go Cups Tuna Salad, Albacore Tuna, Pink Salmon and Chunk Light Tuna.  These are the perfect snack size, or to put in your child's lunch.  They are single serving and ready to eat.  They have already been drained.  Now, my daughter added her mayonnaise and pickle to her Chunk Light Tuna. My mother used to add vinegar to her drained tuna and then eat it wit

Keepers of the Faith Golden Text Series

Hey Neighbors! I am sure many of you will remember how much I like books by Isabella Alden, who wrote under the pen name Pansy.  You can find her books re-printed, at the Keepers of the Faith website.  Here is some information on Isabella Alden from their site: This is one of my old books. This is a picture from my old book. Isabella Macdonald Alden   lived from 1841 to 1930. Her pen name was Pansy. She wrote or edited more than two hundred published works. Isabella Alden was known for developing characters who possessed an unwavering commitment to follow Jesus Christ. Her motivation for writing was to give a clear understanding of salvation and what it means to be a committed Christian. So often in her books, she presents the characteristics of a professing Christian in contrast to a possessing Christian. Each book has a particular biblical point she is trying to share with her readers. Pansy wrote books for a variety of ages.  We have used many of her books for our f

Children's Claritin and Fall Allergies

Hi neighbors! What better way to start off a Fall Festival than by discussing fall allergies.  I don't know about your families, but I have 2-3 each fall that start sneezing, having itchy watery eyes, and scratchy throats.  My oldest son has been starting every morning with a cup of hot tea just to get the scratchy sound out of his voice. Claritin is a big help during the allergy season.  I keep it on hand so when they start showing any symptoms, or if we are aware it is going to be a particularly bad day, we know that Claritin is there.  As a member of the Children's Claritin Mom Crew I recently received some tips to help you and your family as you head into the fall season and of course back to school.  Who needs allergies during school!  Check out these tips below: From Children's Claritin: 1. Be sure to have Children’s Claritin, the #1 pediatrician-recommended non-drowsy allergy brand, on hand! 2. Multi-vitamins are building blocks to having a strong immu

My Lanyard Maker

Hi Neighbors! My girls recently tried out the My Lanyard Maker !  this is from the Choose Friendship Company.  We have reviewed a couple of their other products previously.  The My Lanyard Maker can be used to create, obviously lanyards, but you can also make bracelets, zipper pulls (for a backpack or suitcase), keychains, and you might be able to come up with some creations of your own. the MY Lanyard Maker comes with a kit that has drawers to store all your supplies.  Your plastic laces can all be stored in one end, while you use the other end to hold your keychain rings, hooks and beads.  Everything stores nicely so you can take your lanyard maker with you, when you travel, visit at a friends house, or even while you are waiting at a Dr.'s office.  The kit comes with instructions that show you a couple of different ways to braid, wrap or construct your lanyard.  You can visit the website HERE to download other instructions for different patterns. Betty Crocker and Hershey's

Hi neighbors! Here is one you are all going to love!  I received a Betty Crocker Hershey's Package from My Blog Spark!  Oh, was everyone excited when this arrived for review!  Here is what was in the package: * 3 Betty Crocker Hershey’s® products to sample * $10 gift card * Decorating kit * Cupcake plunger * Retail Value: $55  We had the Hershey's Cookies and Creme Cookie Mix, Reese's Cupcake Mix, and the Hershey's Milk Chocolate Frosting. My 12 year old baked the cookies.  She wanted to do them by herself.  They came out great and of course they didn't last long either. My children and I really like the cupcake plunger and decorating kit.  It makes removing the centers of the cupcakes so easy.  Then you can fill them.  Ours didn't last long!  We already purchased another box of the Reese's Cupcake Mix. Look at our cupcakes.  We purchased miniature Reese's and and put them inside some of the cupcak
