Back to School with The Ultimate Green Store

Hi Neighbors!

We took the day off yesterday as my son turned 20!  We spent the whole day together as a family, so we did not post anything.  Now, today I have this really neat store to tell you about.  It is called The Ultimate Green Store, TUGS for short.  If you are looking for a one stop green shopping experience, this is it.  I can't believe all the different green products they carry.  We are focusing on Back to School right now, so they sent us the ECO Lunchbox.  This is a Stainless Steel Three-in-One Bento Lunchbox.  I think I will allow my daughter to use it as it is just the right size for her.

This lunchbox has three containers and they are such a convenient size.  The bottom container is perfect size for a sandwich.  You then place the next container on top and put in fruit or chips, or maybe veggies.  You can then put nuts, fruit, or some other treat in the smaller container and nestle it inside the middle container.  Then, place on the lid and snap the closures in to place.  The containers can hold items like applesauce, but are not 100% leakproof as no plastic is used.

So, to test this out, I had to use Pork and Beans, because I didn't have any applesauce in the house.  I put it in the smallest container, placed it inside the other container, snapped them all together and then shook them up.  I tossed them in the air a couple of times and turned them upside down.  I opened the containers and nothing leaked.  Not even a little.

Product Features from the TUGS website:

  • Independently lab tested as lead-free, food-safe, series 205 stainless steel.
  • No plastic - BPA-Free.
  • 2-layer stainless steel bento box with upstairs inner box.
  • Closures are kid-tested and will not snap little fingers.
  • The small inner box, which contains 1/2 cup of wet foods, is good for applesauce, cut fruit and salads, but its pressure fitting stainless steel lid is not 100% leak-proof because no plastic is used.
  • Dishwasher Safe.
  • Made in India.

The Ultimate Green Store also carries many other eco-friendly Back to School items.  You will be able to choose from a variety of lunch boxes, backpacks, and even school supplies that all .

I'd probably pick a lunchbox or tote because I often pack lunches/dinners for either my daughter or myself.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back. 10 Things You Need To Do Before Moving Abroad

From There is nothing more fulfilling than travelling the world and visiting new and exciting places. If you’re a fan of travel , then you might have thought about moving abroad at some point. Unfortunately, there is a lot to do before you can get on the plane, with finding accommodations and a job being the most important. If you’re moving abroad soon, or think that it’s something that you’d like to do in the future, then here are ten things that you need to do before you start your new life. 1. Visit The Country Plenty of people move abroad without visiting the country first. Although this is fine to do, as long as you’ve done plenty of research on the country, it makes much more sense to visit the country first. This way you can get used to the culture, and will know in advance whether or not the country is somewhere that you’d actually like to live. 2. Research The Country You need to do lots of research before you move abroad, especially if you haven’t visited the count
