Hey Neighbors!
How many of you have traveled or are going to be traveling this summer? We just returned from a 5 day trip for our 31st Anniversary and guess what? Our vehicle needs an oil change. Now, we actually have more than one vehicle in the home. I mean between the family vehicle, two sons working and of course Tae Kwon Do lessons we keep pretty busy and use the vehicles quite a bit. We have to have regular maintenance checks along with a regularly scheduled oil change.
Motor Oil Matters has a great check list to use next time you go in for an oil change. I can not tell you the amount of stories I have heard where the oil change was not really done, the wrong oil was put in, or the person was over charged. Just about a month ago my husband took one of the vehicles in and the place that changed the oil also checked your tire pressure. Needless to say, we have a little button on the steering wheel that tells us the pressure, so of course before driving away, my husband double-checked it, since they said they had adjusted the pressure. Nope! They did not. My husband brought it to the manager's attention and he admitted that they probably did not check them.
Now, who in your home does the oil changes? Do you have a checklist that you use? Do you get oil changes done on a regular basis? Motor Oil Matters (MOM), has supplied a checklist that helps when you go in to get an oil change. (See it below)

A $50 Gift Card to get an oil change. How does that sound? Here is what we are going to do, I am going to start the giveaway now and then I will do another post after I have completed our oil change. I will even add an extra entry in the second post.
Hurry up and enter now, and then be sure to watch for the second post! See you soon, At the Fence!

- AAA expects between the major summer holidays of Memorial Day and Labor Day to aid over eight million motorists, and cautions drivers that auto maintenance is key to avoiding summertime travel breakdowns. Ensuring quality motor oil in your car is one way to prevent road trip problems.
- Motor Oil Matters, or MOM, a new consumer education and industry watchdog program by the American Petroleum Institute, has been established to stress the benefits of quality licensed motor oils and call on to the carpet those who engage in deceptive practices.
- Service-locators can be quick to offer discounted services to people who are looking to reduce their automotive maintenance costs. Make sure your service provider is pouring quality motor oil into your car before you decide on a cheaper deal.
