HABA's Ophelie and Her Chicks! Adorable!
I just have to share Ophelie and her Chicks with you! She is from the Lilliputien Series carried exclusively by HABA. She is the CUTEST little hen with baby chicks. Just look at her! The ladies at the baby shower thought she was adorable!
Her baby chicks are numbered 1-4. They can be put in her pockets or the little egg shaped ball. The soft, egg shape can then be placed inside Ophelie.
Both Ophelie and her chicks can be used as puppets. Ophelie on a hand and the chicks as finger puppets. Not only are the chicks numbered 1-4 to help with counting, but each one is a diffent color and has a matching color and hole in the egg. Your child can grow with Ophelie. She is a toy, puppet, helps teach counting and colors! All that in one fun toy! She is really soft too! Each little chick makes a different sound. The Lilliputiens line is from Belgium, made by hand with care in Asia.
HABA has a reputation for making available excellent toys and they really came through on this one! Below you can read a little about HABA.
At Habermaass Corp. of Germany, kids rule. You won’t see a lot of them running around the factory, but their needs and wants are foremost in the company’s mission. Owned by Mr. Klaus Habermaass, whose father started the business more than 72 years ago, the company has grown to 1,400 employees in Germany. The HABA USA division in Skaneateles, NY was acquired with HABA’s 1980 purchase of Skaneateles Handicrafters, a business known for its high-quality wooden trains and block sets. In the 1980-90’s this USA office continued to build and distribute T.C. Timber wooden trains and educational block sets. In 2002, this Skaneateles facility was revamped from a manufacturing facility into what it is today - a sales, marketing and distribution office for the HABA® toys and also for the German made Spielstabil® toys and most recently the Danish designed Moover® toys
