Sunny Decals are So Much Fun!

Hey Neighbors!

I have a confession to make...I had fun playing with the Sunny Decals!  We received their Jungle Wall Decals, which includes a tree with a monkey, two more cute monkeys, a giraffe, zebra, elephant and a lion on a rock.  Also in this set are several bushes, grass and the sun.
We started with a blank wall!

Then added our tree and monkey!

I decided to place these on a wall in the bathroom.  I unrolled and laid the decals out to straighten a little bit, while I wiped down the wall.  Next I arranged everything within my reach and made myself comfortable on the floor.  I had an idea in mind about how I wanted it to look, so I started with the monkey and tree first.  After getting them exactly where I wanted them, I started working in the other pieces.  The two monkeys together were placed where it looks like they are trying to reach the light switch.  Next I placed the giraffe where it looked like it was nibbling on the tree.  The zebra went on the other side of the tree.  Then on the door to the attic I added the elephant and lion.  I placed the sun above the tree and added bushes and grass randomly around.
Now look!

Now, here comes the fun part!  I decided I wanted to change the layout, normally this would not be a good idea, but I was able to peel these right off and rearrange them as I saw fit.  It was fun!  Just like working with huge colorforms!  I honestly had my 28 year old daughter laughing as I was moving items around and talking out loud.  Anyway, I finally finished it and I have it the way I want it...I least for now!

I changed it!

Sunny Decals has many options to choose from and as I stated these were very easy to put up and adjust.  If I had a small wrinkle, I was able to peel it back and fix it.  They do have Jumbo Sized decals and if you purchase one of those you might want a little help putting them up.  This set I put up all alone, but larger pieces might require more hands.
Aren't they cute!

From Sunny Decals:

Starting Sunny Decals has been a blast and coming up with designs and concepts we know parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and the kids themselves will enjoy has been a wonderfully challenging experience.. Forget 16-piece sets of decals that are so complicated you need an instruction manual and a puzzle enthusiast to get them to fit just right, Sunny Decals are no-nonsense, no hassle affairs. Plus, each themed decal doesn’t leave behind unwanted residue, funky odors that take days to air out, or permanent damage to your wall.
Decorating your kid’s room is a fun and exciting time during your early stint as a parent. You get to turn blank white walls into any fantasy land you want. Whether it’s a delightful hot air balloon wall decal soaring over your newborn’s crib, or fast trains for your Thomas the Tank Engine obsessed toddler, wall decals take the stress out of decorating your nursery or bedroom and bring back the fun of childhood!

These little jungle animals are seriously so cute!  They would be perfect in any nursery!  And if you are interested in something else, stop by and see if Sunny Decals has something that will work for you.  The Jungle Set is $59.99, they do have a Jumbo Size for $134.99.  Be sure to visit the Sunny Decals site and take a look around.  Just an idea, but they would make a GREAT baby shower gift!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.
