FLEXIO 590 Giveaway!

Hi Neighbors!

Most of you probably remember seeing my post on the Wagner FLEXIO 590.  I painted rocking chairs for my back deck.  They came out great!  I am planning other projects for using my FLEXIO 590 and will be doing other posts, but the company has offered to sponsor a giveaway and I thought you might have some projects you are thinking of doing and might like a chance to receive a FLEXIO 590.  You can find the FLEXIO 590 at stores like Lowes  or Menards for $129-$150.  you can see my original review HERE!

From WAGNER about the FLEXIO 590:

The new X-Boost Turbine™ runs at 60,000 rpms and is three times more powerful than traditional high volume, low pressure (HVLP) units that run at 20,000 rpms. This increased power is controlled with three simple and adjustable settings for air flow, pattern, and paint volume allowing you to paint a large room with single coat coverage or a small stencil to finish off your craft project. It’s 20 percent lighter than traditional airless sprayers and is as quiet as a hairdryer.

The new iSpray® nozzle has a patented shaped opening that provides up to 60 percent more airflow to break up thick paints to provide a more even and consistent coverage. The unique needle-nozzle design also increases efficiency by 30 percent, which helps get every job done more quickly. The iSpray nozzle produces a slightly stippled, almost roller-like finish with today’s thicker paints, perfect for interior walls, and has the flexibility to spray thinner coatings with a smoother finish. The Detail Fine Finish nozzle is ideal for more intricate projects.

FLEXiO is designed to provide the power and flexibility to spray all coatings from a light-bodied stain to unthinned latex with minimal overspray. “The breakthrough technologies we’re introducing on the new FLEXiO hand-held sprayers make it one of the most versatile tools for DIYer’s that are seeking a professional finish on their painting projects,” says Arti Lyde, product director, Wagner SprayTech. “Plus, it’s really fun to use this sprayer and control the power we’ve engineered into it.”

The 1.5 quart cup holds enough paint to cover up to 125 square feet per fill and can easily be switched out for quick color changes or material changes. Prep work only requires basic masking so ceilings, cabinets, doors, and broad interior surfaces can now be sprayed faster, with better coverage, and without the tedious effort of a manual brush or roller.

So, since I will not be able to do another project in the next week or so...we are going on the road again, I am going to run this one a little longer and hopefully add another project before this ends.  I am going to add several ways to enter and a couple will be worth more as they will take more effort.

I do want to say up front, that the FLEXIO 590 is very easy to use.  It is the first time I have used a sprayer, I usually use a brush or roller for my painting projects and the FLEXIO 590 definitely saved me time.  We did two chairs in less time than it would have taken for one.

I mean look at the slideshow below to see how easy the FLEXIO 590 works!

Could any of my neighbors use a FLEXIO 590?  Be sure to enter the giveaway.  We are going to end this one on June 14th, that way perhaps you could give dad a note that he will be receiving a new FLEXIO 590. Unless of course you are like I am and want it for yourself!

Disclosure:I received no monetary compensation for this post.  I did receive product for review purposes.  All quotes in red are taken from the sponsor's email or website.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I do everything around the house myself. It's a combination of not wanting to have someone else do something that I can figure out how to do myself, and not having the extra money to spend to hire someone.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
