Empower R & R Massage and Stretching

Hi neighbors!

Here is another way to Start the Year Off Right!  Empower Fitness has a relax and recover item to help remove the stress and tension of the day.  The kit comes with a cushioned massage roller, a stretching strap, therapy ball and a R & R Program Guide.  This is something my neighbors are going to want to take a closer look at!

Let me tell you just a little bit about Empower.  They are a site devoted to and designed for women.  Their goal is to help inspire and motivate you to love a healthier life.  Their products are ergonomically designed for women.
This feels great!

Empower isn't about quick fixes or false promises.  Empower IS about real-life solutions that incorporate fitness, workout routines, nutrition, and wellness expertise for women just like you, living full lives, who want to be the best they can be.  Empower is here to inspire and motivate you to be active, healthy, and strong.

Before I tell you about anything else I want to share one of the exercises with the therapy ball for the foot.  My right leg still has numbness from the disc injury over a year ago, this extends all the way down the calf and into the foot.  My foot often feels tight and numb or tingly.  One of the exercises with the ball is to place it under the arch of the foot with toes flexed.  Slowly point toes and press down against the ball making a fist with your foot.  Roll the ball under the entire surface of the bottom of the foot in small circles clockwise and counterclockwise for additional compression massage, pausing at points of tension.  Repeat on opposite foot.  I am enjoying this!  It really feels great on both feet, but especially on the foot that bothers me.  I can do this while working on my computer!

For all exercises you are to roll slowly and adjust pressure to your comfort.  You should roll until tension or pain is diminished.  Be sure to relax the muscles you are working on.  Pressure may seem uncomfortable at first, but should lessen as you continue repetitions.

You use the stretching strap to work on your upper back and hamstrings.  (Also good for my leg!)  You use both the stretching strap and roller for this exercise.  I am not going to tell you how to do each exercise as this is from  their book and you must purchase the set for to get the exercises.  I will share here though, the neck exercise works!  I have tried it!

With the roller you are able to work on many different areas of the body.  The neck, calves, forearms, lats, upper back, hip, shins, hamstrings and others.  The little booklet shows and explains each exercise.  What a SUPER way to start your new year off right!

Feeling some tension after a long day homeschooling?  Maybe you have just had a day and need some time to unwind.  Pull out your Empower R & R and relieve the tension in those muscles.  Get a massage at home! Reach areas you could not reach by yourself by using these set.

I have pictures of some of the exercises.  My daughter volunteered to be in the pictures for me.  We did not show any using the strap as we all wear dresses or skirts, and the pictures would not have been good.

How many of my neighbors could use a little stress and tension relief?  Maybe a little help loosening up some tight muscles?  Be sure to visit Empower Fitness and check out the R & R set ($39.99).  You might want to take a minute and see the other products they have available.

I will be using this often!

One neighbor will receive an R & R set from Empower Fitness.

Disclosure:I received no monetary compensation for this post.  I did receive an Empower Fitness R & R set for review purposes.  All quotes in red are taken from the sponsor's email or website.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I get lots of shoulder/neck stress. So I do shoulder rolls and stretch my neck and do neck circles. (But the ball under the foot sounds awesome!! I'm sure it feels great!)

I take my dog for a long(er than usual) walk when I feel I need to get rid of some stress. It helps me clear my head and work the tension out of my body, not to mention I get to spend some time with my buddy!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
