Hey Neighbors!
I am sure many of us have our own idea of modest clothing. As a family we are always searching for places to shop for ourselves. I mean 8 girls can mean alot of clothing. While searching I the internet we found Downeast modest clothing along with a few other sites. We have started occasionally ordering online, as there is more variety, but of course we still do enjoy our thrift store shopping.
It is great when we can get together with a few friends and hit all the local thrift stores, especially when there are sales going on. It gets pretty crazy, because we start pulling out anything that looks good at a decent price and start passing it around to see if it fits anyone! LOL! Of course we have 5 females in our family and adding friends just makes it even more fun. We love to find those really great bargains. You know, a designer blouse or skirt for under a dollar. We love when we visit somewhere and someone comments on an outfit we bought from a thrift store. We actually visited a church in one city and found a store there that none of the ladies had ever visited. When we told them about our great buys, they all started planning a trip.
Denim skirts are one of our favorite casual wear. That is always one of the first things we look for when shopping. It can be worn with so many different tops and accessories. Not to mention the different footwear. One of my daughters LOVES boots, while another would wear sandals in the winter if we let her! It is amazing how many different styles we can choose from for modest apparel.
My twelve year old is still into pinks and purples! The brighter, the better! My older daughters prefer dressier skirts, with a dressy blouse. The 15 year old is more like I am when it comes to clothing choices. She likes to dress up, but she still enjoys casual and comfortable. Once in a while they choose dresses, but I really think they like the variety they get with mixing and matching!
What do you prefer? Do you put a blouse and skirt together? Or do you like a dress better? Comfy and casual or dressy?
Have a great day! I look forward to your next visit At the Fence!
