Novica Artisan-Powered Gift Finder

Hey neighbors!

How many of you have heard of Novica?  I love to browse their site looking for gifts, and it just became easier!  They now have a Gift Finder to make it easier to find what you are looking for.  You can search for Romantic Gifts for Her, Gifts for the Animal Lover, Eco-Friendly Gifts and Gifts for Him.  How easy can they make it?  You can also search by price.

I have had a great time the last few hours searching through their site.  I always find gift ideas for family and friends.  You can find everything from home decor, jewelry, clothing, artwork, games, just to name a few.  I found several things I would like!

My husband would like this light weight portable hammock.  He could take this with us when we go camping.

Now Novica gave me a $40 GC to purchase something myself, and they also sent a $40 GC to giveaway to a neighbors.  Everything I have pictures of in this post would meet the $40 limit.  Just look at these items!  I love receiving gifts from Novica from artists from around the world.

I LOVE the glasses and pitcher above!  I would enjoy having either one of these for serving guests.    And any one of my daughters would like to receive the skirt below.  It is so feminine looking!

Here is what my neighbors will have to do to enter this giveaway.  You will need to visit Novica and use their Gift Finder and then leave a comment telling me what you found that you like!  Sound easy?  Let's get started.  Now, I do have to tell you, the code is only good until 12/31/2012, so I am going to only run this one until the 17th and then choose a winner.  That way you will have time to use the gift code.  Hurry up and enter!

Disclosure:I received no monetary compensation for this post.  I did receive a $40 GC for review purposes. All quotes in red are taken from the sponsor's email or website.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
