We use more AA, but both are in almost constant demand. That is the size my daughter's camera takes.
I think the AA would get used by different toys in the house.

I would choose AA! One of the Nerf guns we bought our son for Christmas needs AA batteries, and both of the remotes and smoke alarms in our house take AA Batteries, so that's what I would use them for:)
