Bark Box is Exciting!

Hello Neighbors!

We recently received a Bark Box for Webster and Grace. A perfect addition for Pets on Parade!  This is a special box filled with goodies for your dog/s.  You can order one at a time, or you can have them sent monthly.  Ours was addressed to Webster and Grace!  Inside was a collection of goodies that our dogs will enjoy!

I personally am excited about the Soggy Paws super absorbent towel.  It has pockets in each end of the towel where you can insert your hands and then easily towel dry your dog and retain control.  It is so easy to use!  Perfect to keep by the door to dry your dog's wet paws. Then we also received Tumbleweed and Eddie's Double Nut Super Boost Treats!  They are grain free and loaded with good ingredients for your dog.    Next was a sample of Stella and Chewy's freeze dried food.  A raw diet can help your dog's digestion, improve appetite, and help support the immune system.  Also included was a $2 off coupon for Stella and Chewy's.  Mr. Barksmith's frozen smoothie was hit in this heat.  Just pop the little container in the freezer, allow to freeze and then let you pet enjoy!  Another all natural treat.  Last of all was the Gimme Gummy.  A safe chew toy for your dog.  It is made of food grade silicon and is freezer, oven and dishwasher safe.  They have a recipe section on their website with fun treats you can bake or freeze inside!

Now, back to Bark Box.  Here is how it works:

When you sign up for BarkBox, every month you will receive a box in the mail with four or more carefully selected products and presents for your dog – anything from bones and treats to shampoos, leashes and innovative new gadgets!
If your dog is begging for more or you want to gift a favorite item to a friend, we’ll give you exclusive opportunities to order more products at a great rate.
A portion of proceeds from each box will go to help doggies-in-need. To learn more about our causes, read about our giving program.
Whether you’ve known your furry friend for years or have a new special canine in your life, BarkBox is the monthly necessity for keeping your pup entertained and feeling well loved.
To get a better idea of what's in the box (and to see some cute and happy dogs), visit our Facebook Page!

You can sign up for Bark Box for your own pet, or you can give one as a gift!  Pretty neat idea if you ask me.  You can try out different new products each month for your pet.  A great way to have new toys, treats, and equipment each month.  And don't forget that 10% goes to a rescue group.
Gimmie Gummy!

Eating a treat!
So, stop by Bark Box and sign your dog up.  And be sure to enter here because one neighbor will receive one Bark Box for their dog.  Also visit their Facebook page to see pictures and learn more!
Another Treat!

Playing with the Gimmie Gummy!
I have included some pictures of the products in use, but please remember that we are focusing on the Bark Box!  I didn't want to center on the products themselves, other than it was GREAT to receive them from Bark Box and I, well, the dogs enjoyed them all!

Disclosure:I received no monetary compensation for this post.  I did receive on Bark Box for review purposes.  All quotes in red are from the website or email.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.

Demonstration of how Soggy Paws is used.

Webster enjoying the Frozen Slushie!

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child
