Sonic Bomb w/Super Shaker

Hi Neighbors!

No this is not part of our Pets on Parade Event, although you could probably use it to remind you to get up and take care of your pets!  Anyway, I have 2 teenage boys, who sometimes are not the easiest to get out of bed.  Sometimes they would answer the wake-up call and then fall back asleep.  I have one daughter who sometimes does this too!  I have to tell you I was super excited to receive the Sonic Bomb w/Super Shaker ($49.95).  This alarm clock is for those who seriously have trouble waking up to an alarm.  Not only does this sound a loud annoying buzz, but it comes with a vibrating unit to put under the mattress or pillow.  Since we have super thick mattresses, we opted to place it under the pillow.  If this does not wake you, or your child up, I don't know what will.  There is a snooze button that will give you an extra nine minutes of sleep.

We played with the Sonic Bomb in the dining room right after it came in.  You can adjust the volume and tone. And, not only do you get sound and vibration, but lights flash too!  My daughter wanted to set it up without warning the boys and surprise them!  I decided that would not be the kindest thing to do.

The Sonic Bomb w/Super Shaker is from Sonic Alert.  Here is a little about Sonic Alert:
Thirty years ago I began building a light-flashing signal system to help my grandmother. Even when I was a child, my grandmother had very little hearing. By the time I was a teenager, she couldn't hear anything at all. Constantly worried that she would not hear if her loved ones called or visited, she felt isolated and frightened.

Having experimented with electronics since I was seven years old, I was determined to make something to help her. What I first came up with was a system that flashed lights around her home in response to the doorbell, telephone, intercom and fire alarm system. It was remarkable how such a simple device eased so much of the frustration of her daily life. Although that system was perfect for her, it required running wires all over her house and took almost a week to install. I knew that for others to benefit from what I had developed for my grandmother, a wireless, easy-to-install system was needed. Encouraged by my family, I founded Sonic Alert® to produce these new systems.

After more than two years of additional research and development, I came up with our first product, the Sonic Alert® System, which was unique enough to be awarded a United States Patent. Since that time Sonic Alert® has continued to grow and we have expanded our product line to include the many items you will find in this catalog. I hope that our products can help you or your loved ones as much as they helped my grandmother.

Now, I just have to tell you this is a super, great alarm.  It works perfectly for my sons.  We tell them the night before what time it needs set for, and they actually get up!  It is really too loud to ignore.  Also with the Super Shaker, they have a hard time ignoring the pillow shaking!  They are going to try it out on the two young men we have visiting this week.  I hope they warn them first!  I highly recommend this alarm clock to my neighbors.

We will be giving away one regular Sonic Bomb w/Super Shaker and One Sonic Bomb Jr. w/Super Shaker.  The first person drawn will get to choose.

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
