Mother's Day Event #5 Stanley Steamer

Hi Neighbors!

Now, I am including this one in our Mother's Day Event, but please remember that this is a sponsored post by My Blog Spark and Stanley Steamer.  This is perfect for Mother's Day! What mother would not like some help with her spring cleaning by having her carpets cleaned by Stanley Steamer

Stanley Steamer knows dirt!  They removed over 200 TONS of dirt last year.  Wow!  And I thought my children tracked in quite a bit of dirt! With over 70 branches and 220 franchise locations in the United States, Stanley Steamer services 95% of the country.  When most people think of Stanley Steamer, they automatically think carpet cleaning, but Stanley Steamer expertise actually covers hardwood, tile, air ducts, water damage restoration and more.  Stanley steamers proprietary equipment and cleaning processes remove more than 98% of dry soil from floors.

Two Stanley Steamer employees, David and Byron, came out to my home, they were going to clean the carpet in one bedroom, and also clean a couple of chairs for us.  So, before they arrived I took some before pictures.  Aren't those stains nasty!  I hope they can get these out.

Stained carpet.

Stained chair.

So, here is what happened.  David and Byron showed up at my door around 10:00am.  They were both very professional and courteous.  I showed them the bedroom carpet and the chairs.  After explaining to me what they would be able to do, they both immediately got to work.  I stayed out of their way, and had my son take a few pictures.  Some of which you see above and below, the others are in the short slide show I put together.

They are gone!

Looks super!

Be sure to watch this quick slideshow.

The very first thing they did was steam clean the carpet.  When they reached the stains, David explained to me, that it looked like there was oil in the stain, so he was not sure how much would come out.  They continued working.  When they finished the carpet, Byron went on to start the chairs, while David showed me the carpet.  He explained before I saw it, that not all of the stain came out.  Ummm, personally I had to look really hard to even find the faintest hint of the stain.  I guess there is a small, very faint shadow, but I am impressed!  We have tried hard to remove those stains, and now they are gone.  Thank you Stanley Steamer, David and Byron.  Byron quickly finished cleaning a couple of the dining room chairs.

Next step...apply protectant. They applied protectant to the carpet and the chairs.  Nice!  The last step was to add a deodorizer to the carpet.  Both these gentlemen were quick and efficient.  They explained each step as they went along.  I appreciate their professional attitude.

Stanley Steamer can be found on Facebook and Twitter.  Be sure to join their social media to stay up to date.

To my neighbors, I can definitely say I recommend Stanley Steamer.  My carpet and chairs look great! And one of my neighbors will be receiving a $100 GC to Stanley Steamer! Remember this would be perfect for Mother's Day!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
