Kit Cat Clock An American Icon

Kit Cat Clock
Hello Neighbors!

I just received a Kit Cat Clock!  My daughter loves it.  I personally think he will look beautiful hanging on her purple wall.  Wait until you see the pictures!  Kit Cat is 15.5 inches high and operates on two "c" size batteries. He has tiny ears and a large smile!  Kit Cats are adorable!  Ours is a black cat with a white bow.  His tail wags back and forth like a pendulum as his eyes move left to right. You can purchase a Kit Cat Clock for $49.99.

He is cute!
 "In 1932, during the heart of The Great Depression, the Kit-Cat® Clock was first invented in a small Oregon town by designer Earl Arnault (1904-1971).  With his signature wagging tail, rolling eyes, and contagious smile; Kit-Cat inspired joy during one of America’s darkest hours."

 Kit Cat is still American made 80 years later.  Kit Cat Clocks are truly an American icon!

Have any of my neighbors ever seen a Kit Cat Clock before?  Perhaps a relative owned one, or you have seen him in a commercial?  Or maybe you saw Kit Cat in a parade this year!  One thing is sure, when you own a Kit Cat Clock you own a part of American history.

I also have to add, I received one of their new Greeting Cards (See picture above and below).  They are really cute, and would be great to send with a Kit Cat Clock as a gift to someone. Or just as a special reminder to someone to tell them that you care. It includes the Kit Cat Creed inside:
Put a smile on everyone's face;
Love in everyone's heart;
Energy in everyone's body;
And...Be a positive force in everyone's life.
California Clocks, who make Kit Cat, will send you (free of charge) one of their Greeting Cards if you order one of their clocks and mention See you At the Fence in the comment section.

The winner of this giveaway will receive a Black Kit Cat Clock just like mine.  I have a quiz attached at the bottom of this post, that is you take the time to answer, you will receive extra entries in the giveaway!

Click on the link for the quiz: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7Q3DY5L

I love this prize - a tribute to our precious Tuxedo Cat, Twinky. I think I would put it in my husband's workshop - where he spends a lot of time - we try to keep the real live kitties OUT of there as they get into all kinds of mischief.

It would make a great Father's Day gift - if I could resist giving it to him right away... (should I be so lucky as to win!)

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
