Hey Neighbors!
When I was young, I have to admit that I was not taught to take care of my teeth. At 5 years old, they actually pulled some of my front teeth. Now, considering my baby teeth were starting to fall out at that time, you know the teeth were in really bad condition. As I got older, I started obviously taking better care of my teeth, but some damage had already been done. Since I was an avid tea drinker, probably a gallon of sweet tea a day, my teeth quickly became discolored.
After marriage, my husband became a dental technician in the military, and as such I was able to take part in a program they were just starting with veneers. It took several weeks, as throughout the whole process they were training dentists, explaining procedures, and taking notes and pictures. So, yes, somewhere out there my teeth are in some dusty dental book or manual.
Anyway, they did a super, great job on my four, front, upper teeth. Yes, they did all four. One actually became more of a wraparound than a veneer. They looked great and really changed the way my smile looked.
Then about 14 years later, tragedy struck! A veneer fell out! And of course we were traveling with no dentist in sight. My husband came up with the brilliant idea of using super glue to replace it. I was so scared when he did this. I mean, what if my veneer stuck to his finger? Or if it dropped and became glued to the floor? Or, horror of horrors, if it glued itself to my lip or glued in crooked. How do you explain something like that? Needless to say, he managed to get it on straight, right where it belonged. I could not bite down on anything hard. I was very self conscious during this time.
Finally we were able to get it replaced, along with 2 others, that needed replaced just because of age. They look great again! I am so happy I had the cosmetic dentist take care of my teeth.
Disclosure:I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog for a cosmetic dentist Nashville, and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own. And yes, the account is true!
